i think i'm numb, i'm also very confused as to what i want from life, i'm not even sure if relationship is what i need. i think what i badly need is a soulmate or an adventure seeking buddy.

:D good suggestion, but the kind of adventure i'm talking about would not fit in with their standards, what i want will be wild for them ;)

I know what you mean. Sex is OK but I prefer the real thing.
  • i'm searching for something meaningful and fun to, I need an adventure and I'm just waiting for one to pop up, I wish I was more proactive about it.

what you are experiencing is an awakening of sorts ... the real you is coming out ... if you have gone thru your share of good and bad relationships and are independent by nature then you are probably looking for a connection that transcends the superficial nature of most of our relationships ...

"Sex is OK but I prefer the real thing" was a piece of graffiti I saw in a book. It's always amused me. Then again I'm easily amused.

well i'd be proactive, but i've got no one at the moment with whom i can have fun, i need someone who says "yes", spontaneous, flexible with time, has enough money to have fun, who can be trusted and relied on, and with wicked personality. so far i've found no one who's like that. someone who tries to work things out if i do something wrong.

true, adventures suck alone, or with an unwilling participant.

i don't think i'm independent, that's why i want someone with me, who will not suffocate me but will be there for me and share good times. like a companion

oh ... so, it would seem you are looking for the superficial - in which case, it's a crap shoot because by its nature superficiality has no depth and is always fleeting ...

Sounds like Genie is looking for the perfect "Friends With Benefits" situation to me.

I'm just wondering why no man from London on this board has chimed in and offered at this point?:)

I didn't say it instantly, it took me a few posts. :D

Normally the kind of adventures you're seeking can get uncomfortable when there's no benefits. Only because most guys will think that it will lead to it anyway. Especially if you get along great and have fun adventures with this person. He'll think "I've found the best girl ever" It's kind of a natural instinct for most

did i say i wanted this person to be a guy? ;):p this person can be either male or female, their age don't bother me much either, and their sexuality can be anything. in fact all i want is great upbeat fun personality.

Seems to me you're just looking for a really good friend. Who says it has to be a man? The best way to get this without confusion over 'benefits' might be to find some girlfriends you can share these kinda things with.

What kind of things do you like to do? Maybe joining some kind of adventure club is the best way to hook up with like minded people?

Edit: You beat me to it :)

    Listen to Urban Hippie :)

I just figured you meant a guy when you said Soulmate, that's all.

Try a new adventurous activity, like Sea Kayaking or something :D You'll meet some cool friends and you'll have adventure friends to go trip with.
