1995, Seattle, My dad and I went to a few playoff games.
I was only 4, but holy shit, it was amazing.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
Long shot Smarty Jones' Kentucky Derby win. U.S. Ryder Cup win at Valhalla. Bulls vs. Raptors because I got to see Michael Jordan play. Any Steelers game at Heinz Field. Division 1AA SIU beating Indiana University's football team while in the press box at the stadium. The Salukis' basketball team coming back from a double-digit deficit in the second half to beat Creighton when ESPN Game Day came to Carbondale last season. A Cardinals-Pirates game at Busch Stadium two seasons ago when Jason Bay hit the game-tying home run in the ninth and Jose Castillo hit the game-winner in the 10th. Watching Neifi Perez hit a game-winning, extra-inning grand slam to beat St. Louis at the old Busch Stadium even though I'm not a fan of either team.
"Almost all those politicians took money from Enron, and there they are holding hearings. That's like O.J. Simpson getting in the Rae Carruth jury pool." -- Charles Barkley
game 3 of the Oilers/Stars series in 97....turning point in the series...worst 55 minutes of hockey ever, followed by the craziest atmosphere I've ever been a part of...3 goals in the last 5 minutes, and Bucky with the OT win
(In Oil country all these years, and that's the best I can do :( playoff tix are not easy to come by )
2006 NBA Playoffs, Lakers vs. Suns, Game 4: The Lakers are down by 5 with 12 seconds remaining. They hit a 3 to draw within 2, the crowd goes crazy -- but still pessimistic knowing that we're going to have to foul Steve Nash, an elite free-throw shooter. Instead, Smush Parker pokes the ball away, Kobe Bryant picks it up and drives to the hoop, lofting a rainbow-layup straight through the net with 0.7 seconds left. Overtime.
In overtime, we're down by 3 with less than 15 seconds to go. Kobe hits a layup to pull within 1 -- but the same pessimism arises, knowing that we're really going to have to foul Nash this time. Instead, Luke Walton ties him up instead of fouling him for a jump ball. Luke tips the ball straight to Kobe, who drives it up the court and nails a 17-footer as time expires. Lakers win, 99-98. The crowd goes wild and continues to go nuts an hour after the game is over, when they finally start to file out of Staples Center. The closest I have ever come to tears at a sporting event.
Lakers vs. Celtics, NBA Finals, Game 5, 2008: Okay, so we lost the series, and this wasn't a very pretty game, BUT it was my first NBA Finals game, and the Lakers won a tight one. The emotion and electricity was 1000 times higher than for a regular season game.
Dodgers vs. Cubs, NLDS, Game 3, 2008: I'm a huge Dodgers fan, but had never been to a playoff game before (primarily because the Dodgers haven't made the playoffs very often the last 20 years). This was my first one, and it happened to be the game that the Dodgers beat the Cubs to finish off the sweep and move to the NLCS for the first time since 1988. It was awesome to sit along the outfield wall while the players came onto the field after the game and celebrated with the fans.

“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.” - Albert Camus
2001 US Open Quarterfinal - Pete Sampras beats Andre Agassi in a thrilling 4-set match.
1991 Wimbledon Final - Michael Stich beats Boris Becker...still remember Becker swearing at himself in German as he tried to turn the match around...he never could.
1991 Wimbledon Semifinal - Boris Becker beats Stefan Edberg in a matchup of the last 2 champions.
2003 at Yankee Stadium - Yankees beat Red Sox 2-1. I didn't like the result as I'm a Sox fan, but it was a memorable pitcher's duel between Pedro & Mussina punctuated by Pedro drilling both Jeter & Soriano.
You see me empty, Sir, do not pause and inquire, simply assume and refill.

All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
hmm i've never really been to any great games, except watching Tennessee beat Notre Dame (which was pretty cool back in the day. but UT used to beat everybody).
A few weeks ago i went to the Knicks vs. Bobcats game and was sitting 20-30 feet away from Michael Jordan. so that was pretty damn cool
reminds me of the only NBA game i went to. it was a Bulls preseason game, i was excited until i found out Jordan and Pippen didnt bother to show up. at least Spud Webb was there.
