    I used to be like that too. It is easy for people to say just go out and talk to them. It can take a while to feel that comfortable. I find it easier one on one than when I'm around a group of friends.

    Seriously though, I used to be like that. Now I talk to girls just fine, I just don't seem to get many :cool: I manage to say ridiculous shit like "oh you're from Finland? like where Bjork is from?" (Iceland :( ) That girl was really pretty as well. Gutted :D

    my 2 long-term relationships have been with shy, quiet guys. I approached my ex and my current fiance and what drew me to them was that they are both shy. All the guys that approached me on their own were dicks :p I decided I had to take destiny into my own hands :)

    you're just a regular young guy... its completely normal.. someone had to tell me this as when i was your age is was fucking awesome... so i never had to deal with such frivolities like 'maturing' and 'confidence' ;);)

    Leash. I think we are trying to say is there isn't anything wrong with you. But if you try and force yourself and don't act natural you won't get as far with the ladies. I used have issues with that too and then as I got older I found my grove. Not bragging but recently I was juggling 7 (ns) that can be a problem but one you will have one day. (I'm down to 2 I had to cut some of them loose.) As my FEMALE barber said "yeah but don't cut the bitches completely off you may want to go back and talk to one of them". That's a true story from today.

    Anyway, point is, this girl is shouting her name at me at some noisy party and telling me to look her up on facebook and then she left and I was like "what the fuck was her name?!"

    Disaster. I manage to strike out in the most spectacular fashions. At the same party some girl who had previous come up to me in the student union and told me I looked like Garth from Wayne's World (she was obviously worse than me at the chatting up thing) and then assured me it was meant as a compliment :rolleyes: came up to me and was like "Garth!!!" and preceeded to confound me with her unconventional chat-up lines to the point that I didn't really notice she was interested until she was gone.
