Its Perfect REGULAR season for the Pats. "Perfect Season" implies you won it all, which they didn't.

The Celtics? They have been irrelevant for the past 20 years now they have Garnett and thats somehow supposed to be better than Shaq/Kobe Lakers or Spurs of this century?

Yes the Red Sox have won more championships this century than any other team. How many did they win in the 80 years prior to 2000?

Pro Soccer? Are you serious? No one cares.

The Bruins?? Hold the phones! They almost pulled an incredible upset?! Holy Shit! Its parade time!

    this post is accurate.

lol, i don't have a clue about it either. my only contribution to draft talk is about the time i went to the 1999 draft and the eagle fans wanted ricky williams, got donavan mcnabb instead and nearly tore up the place..

still in the history books regardless of any spygate crap!!!!

Name one state that has won 3 superbowls and 2 world series rings in a span of 6 years....'01-'07....that's fucking impressive!!!!

    PA

4 Steelers titles and a Pirates WS from 74-79

and since you said state the Phillies won in 80 and the Flyers in 74 and 75.

so that would be 8 titles in 6 years for PA.

On a side note Philly is still the only town that had all 4 teams in the Championship round in one year - 1980. Eagles Raiders Super Bowl, Phillies Royals World Series, 76ers Lakers NBA and Flyers Islanders in the NHL.

One thing I do find funny is with all the coverage of Boston vs. New York most of the rest of the country couldn't give a shit.

It's like when people were blowing a gasket when they switched the Sox-Yanks game a few weeks ago to get to NASCAR and people around here were losing their fucking minds. Last time I checked it's April and these games don't really mean too much. When September rolls around the Sox, Yanks, and Mets will all be in position for the playoffs when it really matter. Although if I were a Yanks fan I would be deathly afraid of Hank. He's going to do a number on that franchise. If people remember correctly, it's when George took his little vacation where the Yanks put together the core of those teams that won those World Series.

Love the Sox (not a part of the marketing machine that is 'Red Sox nation'), hate the Pats with a passion. Watch the C's being a former hoops player, and could care less about the Bruins.

I've got a lot of friends out in Boston (Sox fans, of course) and I've noticed over the past couple years that Red Sox fans have become the very thing that they detest most in this great big world:

    Yankee fans. :D

I am a die hard Yanks fan but will admit, how could you not, that the Sox have the upper hand now. But this is what sports is all about. Also, you have to look at the 2000 seasons for the NY / NJ people:

Yanks vs Mets in the World Series
    NY Knicks Eastern Conf Finals
NJ Giants in the Super Bowl
NJ Devils win the Stanley Cup

Out of the 4 major sports 2 Champions and 1 "runner up". not bad

But it is true, no one outside the NY / Bos area cares about the NY / Bos rivalry.
Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?

I don't think it's the Red Sox fans that act like that. I still know a ton of Sox fans that think the shy is falling when they're 5-6.

Now Patriot fans are a totally different story. They act like when they lose it's a complete act of God. The arrogance of the fan base matches the arrogance of the head coach.

I'll I've heard is "if this" and "if that" about the Super Bowl. Well if the queen had balls she be the king.

It didn't happen, get over it.

I'm not including New York & Cali cause they have way too many teams.

Boston Red Sox - 2004, 2007 World Champions and AL East champs.
Boston Bruins - Made Playoffs and almost pulled up an incredible upset
    Boston Celtics - enough said
New England Patriots - 2007-08 AFC Champs, Perfect Season
New England Revolution - Made Championship third year in a row.

    hands down dominant
ha ha. Nice post. Century. ha ha. 7 years old. ha ha.

Long way to go to keep it going.

Got a lot of catching up to do before they match the Yankees of the 20th century (what is it, 27 rings). if anything, it looks like history repeating itself. Win a bunch in the beginning and then dont win again until 2004.

Also a long way to go to catch the New York football Giants of the 20th century (6 world championships in 17 championship game apprearances). And, the Giants played in the greatest game in the 20th and 21st century.
All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.
