So I guess the Rams were the better team in 2001-02. They just had one bad minute at the end of the game.
The Rams were the best team of '01-'02 just not the champions. Like the '07-'08 Pats, the best team but not champion.

  • FFS It's one Super Bowl. I could care less now. (Then again I root for the old Boston Redskins)

Overall there is no doubt that since 2000 that Boston is the best place to live and enjoy all the major sports playing at a high level.

Did you watch the Super Bowl at all this year? Brady was getting punched in the mouth all game long. It was more like 60 bad minutes.

You Boston area fans need to be a little more graceful when losing. How exactly are you defining "Better team?" Yes the Patriots are better vs. the field (rest of the NFL) than the Giants. Who is the better team between the Giants and the Patriots? The Giants. Great game just a bad outcome. Neck-in-neck, see-saw battle through out and Pats even took a lead but left too much time on the clock for NYG.

BEST- no... SB champion... yes and that's all that really matters isn't it??? Championships!! They don't reward championships for being the best team on paper, only on the field.

    BTW I hate the Giants....

You're probably one of the only Pats fans that I know that would say that. Most are blind to that fact and they think the head of MENSA Billy Boy hatched the game plan of the century.

Then again it might have been since the century is less than 10 years old and that would fit in with the OP. LOL

Well, I'm not gonna flush the Pats' '07-'08 season down the strain because of one bad game...same thing can be said for Rams fans, their team pretty much shattered all record books in '01, they still own the title to the Greatest Show on Turf, don't they? So the Pats own the 16-0 regular season record, should still be praised, at least I do, I don't know about others.

Most of the people that are Pats fans call it a fluke that the Giants beat them but will fail to recognize that it was also a fluke that the Pats cashed it in that year.

That drives me up a wall. I think the whole point is that the people around here have developed this warped sense of entitlement as far as sports are concerned. For me, even though I live here, I see what people are talking about because even though I love the Sox I hate the Pats with every last ounce of my soul.

After the Pats lost you couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Now everyone knows why the old guys from the Dolphins team pop the champagne corks. It;s almost impossible to go undefeated.

I think I just hate the attitude. It's the "my shit doesn't stink" attitude. I have problems with Billy Boy and his attitude. I really enjoy his stance on Matt Walsh that he couldn't pick him out of a line up. The control freak that he is, that's a joke. The whole thing about SpyGate. Not about breaking the rules, about how he played dumb as he mis-interpreted the rules. What a bunch of crap

I already know what'll happen if something comes out in the next few weeks with Walsh. He'll say he never saw any video tape, blah, blah, blah. All the myopians around here will drink from the Kool Aid and agree.

Yes, everyone does but you were the ones who got caught because of your arrogance and your pettiness with Eric Mangini.

I have no problem with the owner. A former fan and season ticket holder that buys his favorite team. I think that's every fans dream.

I think it had a little more to do than with Mangini being a rat. I believe Billy B didn't want him to go to the Jets. There's a little more to that story than most people realize.

My favorite team was also on the brink of history last NFL season but for all the wrong reasons. No one can accuse me of being a fair weather because they haven't won shit in more than 30 years.
