agreed that varitek has no business being there.
pedroia's havin a good year and has been on a tear lately, but ian kinsler should be starting at 2b.

Social awareness does not equal political activism!
5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
It's a fan's game the All Star game and the voting should be left to the fans regardless if they get it right.

I think the fans should vote for each position like they do now. But that shouldn't make them the starter. It should just get them on the roster IMO.
All sports should do this. That way people like Yao Ming wouldn't always lead the West in voting just because so Many people in China are voting. Don't get me wrong, he's an all-star, but He'll always start at Center, regardless of the season he's having.
that's fine when the game is just an exhibition, which it should be. But you can't make the game "matter" then have abominations like this. 11 wins and you get left home, hit .217 and you're an All star. And don't give me the defense line. Throwing counts
And Jason Varitek making it is a joke...he's simply awful this season...people are voting for him only because he's on the (for now) beloved Red Sox.
And as a Yankee fan, I will admit that Jeter probably does not deserve to start...every time up it's either a strikeout or a double play for him.
I just hope Giambi makes it....THE PORN STASH IS IN, PEOPLE!!!
i dont understand how he didnt make it either. hes having a hell of a season that is definitely all star-worthy.
i think that giambi and muss should be on it. its at yankee stadium for fuck's sake. its crazy that there are seven red sox on the team. i might be bias, but i just think that there should be more yankees given the circumstances.
also, mo should close out the game!
I agree... but Voquez will probably get the start.
Man I'm a loser.
I think it would be hard to argue with either getting the start. Imagine Volquez pitching to Josh hamilton in the 1st of 2nd inning. Who'da thunk it?
Lollapalooza. 8.5.07 West Palm Beach. 6.11.08 Bonnaroo. 6.14.08
Hartford. Mansfield.

I'm willing to bet Tampa Bay could kick either of those two "all-star" teams asses.
And seriously, no White Sox pitchers? One of the best pitching staffs in baseball!
You must be a white sox fan. My dad caught a Juan Uribe HR ball. I bet you didn't know that.
Mike Lowell should be there. Varitek should be at home.
At the end of the day, all that matters is that the Cubs will be playing the Red Sox in the World Series.
