Getting a job/career which I derive enjoyment from. Instead of working at the drudgery of a job I currently have just for a paycheck.
    Dig a ditch deep enough
To keep you clear of the sun
You've been burned more than once
You don't think much of trust
  • What point will you get to, when you are truly happy?

When I am free from drama.... actually...

    I am happy...yes, I will tell myself that 1,000,000 times now... :)

You can choose to be happy or can can choose to be miserable...

    it IS a choice...

life can be and is hard at times.. but you have the power to be happy.

  • it's bitterweet, but I will be happy when my oldest daughter graduates high school and I no longer have to deal with my ex-husband over custody/visitation issues. I will never have to talk to him again and that will make me happy. :D

Thanks Lizard. It just makes me feel like shit that $$ is such a source of happiness or NOT. Today is my son's 9th birthday and I'm soooo completely broke right now I can't even take him to McDonalds. It's a fucking joke (I find myself pissed at his father all the time for his lack of support). Really, I am miserable but I'm trying to make the best of it.

    Life's bittersweet, for sure
and as easily as one's happiness drives another's misery
can one find great fulfillment in own sorrow
as he goes accompanied by the songs to soothe the savage beast,
walks with the wine to preserve the heart that beats for none

... Happiness is ethereal, enjoy every moment you get

When I can have the job of the guy grabbing onto this guy's pants:

And I'm sure he would appreciate the enthusiasm in which you would embrace your new position. However, he might be like, "Hey, I said this was a part-time job! You do have to let go occasionally..."

    I would? :o
I tried to tell myself for a long time that I didn't have a crush on Ed.....oh well.
I am coming out of the closet.
I want to hold onto his pants.

I had to brutally dump my one and only man-crush recently, so now I guess I'll have to turn my attention to Ed as well. He's a little short for me though... maybe I could cradle him in my arms like a child.

Who was it???? And why did you have to dump him???
I think Ed is the perfect size. Even though he is only a couple inches taller than me, it really does appear that my man is packing some serious heat. ;)
I really shouldn't be talking like this about him....:o

My wife used to tease me about having a man-crush on Cornell, however, for obvious reasons, that is over.

    Hmmm...I would've teased you too. :p
Ed is enough man for both of us to share. ;)

Other than wanting to be Ed's 'handler' lol...I am happy. I have learned to make real good lemonade. :)

I will be happy as long as Trix keeps throwing out old school Zep innuendos...

At least that's what I think it was...

It would make me happy to squeeze Ed's lemon until he falls out of bed. ;)

I often wonder if I ever will be truly happy :(

    Absolutely.

I've come to terms with and accepted what I want and how I am. I've decided to enjoy the present moment instead of dreaming of a future that will be a time of security and happiness or wallowing in happy memories, because in doing so I would be missing out on the good things happening now.

So, in spite of the occasional financial, professional, social, and emotional aggravation, I guess I can say NOW.
  • I'm happy now. I go to school full time, and don't have to work. Its nice to live off the GI Bill and Student loans. So between school, my dog, and my guitar. I don't really need anything else.

Oh, and I'm not 19 living at my parents house, 26 and living on my own.

Don't hold your breath. Happiness isn't for people with great intelligence (and you seem like a smart guy). Just doesn't work that way...
