    i'm with you both! :D
    60s is *IDEAL* weather imho.

my hsuband and i were just discussing this last night and realize....hot weather is tolerable if you have NOTHING to do. as long as i can wear whatever, sit my ass in the shade on the back porch with a COLD drink filled with ICE...it's all good. it's mostly b/c i actually have to function most of the time, get dressed, go to work, be presentable...that it sucks. i'd far rather the cold if i must choose from extremes...but really....give me fantastic, temperate spring and autumn weather and i am in heaven.

i'm with you too. i don't like the heat at all. it's ok if you are sitting in the garden with nothing to do, but if you have to mow your garden it's just unbearable. i'm wondering when i'll get a heart attack mowing the lawn in summer when there are 30 degrees or more (celsius - i never figured out the fahrenheit system).

it's also digusting when you have to drive in your car, or use public transportation.

my problem is, that i don't like the cold either. i'd prefer spring or autumn weather. but the problem these days is, you either have winter or summer, the transition time is often hardly there.

everyone seems to be talking be talking about this. in new england too, there is just no spring, and it seems to shrinking!

today is like a spring day though, 60s. very nice. don't need a jacket, yet not dripping sweat (well I sweat anyway, so I was still pretty soggy by the time I got the office, but I also sweat some when it's 10 degrees so I can't complain).

Wintertime - bitch about the cold
Springtime - bitch about allergies & the rain
Summertime - bitch about the heat, the humidity
Fall - bitch about allergies, it's getting colder, i hate raking leaves, etc
    Wintertime - repeat

Some people just are miserable, whenever. I'm happy when it's not cold or raining.

true, but sometimes it physically harder for some people to live in different types of weather. I live in an extremely uncomfortable body, and when it's hot that's just exacerbated. swelling, chaffing, and sweating...I feel like I can't function like other people in the summer. It makes doing things that would otherwise be fun summer activities just miserable physically. Plus, I HATE having bare skin. (especially now that I've read that stupid thread). Since I became obese, all clothing has been my arch nemesis, but summer clothing is like pure nightmare fuel.

Why don't you make a move to a more accomodating area?

I already live in boston...there aren't many major cities further north than this, and they get hot in the summer too (I used to live in maine, it wasn't much cooler in the summer). besides, there are things that outweigh it the inconvenience, obviously. I didn't want to live in North Carolina, but I had to to do what I wanted to do.

So it is your own choice to suffer the inconvenience, gotcha.

I know, I'm not like trying to fight the weather, I'm just complaining about it. if you can't complain about the weather, what can you complain about?

Having an excuse for everything will not make you less miserable. Please try an alternative mode. You'll live longer and may even enjoy some of it..

could you afford surgery to reduce your obesity? This is a genuine enquiry and not a ridicule of your condition.

honestly, I never complain outloud, that's why I do it here :).

but so what? why is such a big deal if someone complains a bit? I had an idea in my mind, the warm weather is overrated and cold weather is underrated and I said it. big deal. 98% of what's said on this board could be construed as complaining.

If it were 'a bit' I seriously doubt anyone WOULD have an issue.

oh please. I'm not any different than anyone else. how many threads on here were there in the winter with people complaining about the cold. wtf is the difference????

I can't even think of a post I've made in the past year other than at least that can be construed as out-right, useless complaining. I've posted about problems, that's not complaining.

move to the west coast. less humidity = less sweat.

We all have a mountain of shit to deal with. I hate when people think they are special or feel they are somehow entitled to float above the rigors of life. Grow the fuck up, wipe your tears, and do something positive in this here little world of ours..
