My friends got me a gift certificate for my birthday and I made my appointment today. I'm so excited!

I remember when I went to Sri Lanka, we all somehow got roped into having massages at this botanical garden. I was like 'fine... erm, okay' and then they said we all had to take our tops off! I was like 'WTF! NO WAY'! Anyway, it was apparently quite uncommon for the westerners to be bothered by this and the Sri lankans found it hilarious. :rolleyes:

the 1st time it was wierd and I felt uncomfortable, but after reaping the benefits I got used to it. It's a profession - you need to take the intimacy out of it. In the beginning I only used to go to women, but now I am the opposite and will only go to a man. I have a lot of neck and back pain and like the deep tissue massages - men typically do that better than the women. if you like light pressure, you are better off going to a female IMO.

there is nothing like getting a full massage by a professional! i've had two full-body massages that lasted an hour? i think...and were utterly fantastic! during our busy season, we get one 15 minute massage a week courtesy of the firm, and yes...fully clothed.
hubby got me a GC for valentines' day, and i too plan on saving it until after tax season, but i soooooo look forward to it!
btw - i don't know where you people get your massages, but male or female....no massuese has seen my ta-tas. they are quite good at being very discreet. sure, once you take the robe off and are under the towel, all that's left is you, a giant towel and your panties, but none the less.....all the massauese have been very respectful/careful.....so no issues there.

believe me, i tired to find different words/combo for that, but couldn't. that's what it IS. a facial...and then a full body massage. and, uttelry fantastic!
btw - i am a VERY ticklish person, and ZERO issue during a massage. i think such professionals just know how to *touch* people properly to NOT trigger such things. hell, even getting a pedicure with the min-foot massage...no issue! these people know what they're doing!
i've got my 15 minute massage this thursday....5:15 PM....love it! i think i'll plan on the big indulgence april 19th.
see, i thought some of you were agreeing that it happens, that you get over it, etc. i mean, i get what you mean about the intimacy...but absolutely, just b/c they are touching your body does NOT mean they *see* anything, and certainly there is no feelings of intimacy, etc. although sure, whenever i get a massage from a woman i always joke that 'is it wrong to feel so good after being touched by a woman'.......:d but that's all in fun! it DOES feel so good.......b/c you're getting a MASSAGE! :cool:

I love them TOO!!! I haven't been for ages but yep down to a towel and me knickers and I am set. In that setting I am quite comfy as it a professional so I can just relax.
I LOVE, LOVE a foot massage but that has to be from someone I know :eek: cuz I like them so much
