and I am so excited to just go and do something in my element. I mean it's hard to explain, but I just feel so *in place* at rock shows. I always have since I was in high school. Big ones, little ones, whatever. I think it's really the only thing I truly find fun! I haven't been to a show in a long time I think because there isn't a lot of new music I'm into so this is going to be good. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I totally do!
Whenever we go to shows (especially at small clubs), I look around and I just totally feel like that's where I'm supposed to be. My husband feels exactly the same way about it.
I'm going to the foo fighters too. On the 25th. I'm excited, except its a Monday
yeah shows are like the only place I really feel comfortable to be at alone too.
yeah my foo show is on a monday too. in worcester (blegh!!!!).
I sometimes panic in crowds, so I don't think I could be alone at one... But, my husband has gone to plenty of shows alone and he likes it. It's not like you're there to make conversation. It's too loud!
have a great time at the show....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
they are my "second favorite band" .
oh man are you kidding? echoes silence patience and grace is amazing (I agree in your honor wasn't the greatest thing ever, but they've certainly made up for it).
anyway, I don't want this to get moved to Other Music
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree and state that I love Dave Grohl, but the Foo's are a shadow of their former selves and whenever I heard the Pretender or whatever on the radio, the station changes.
well it's not about the foo fighters, it's about feeling completely at peace at rock shows...ahhh...

me too. I want to marry him. but he's already married.
I'm embarrassed...
it really surprised me when it happened to me a couple of years ago.
and it's not like he's gorgeous the way Ed was in 1992.
must be that voice!

I will be at that show as well!
I havent seen a show there in years. Worcester is a pain in the ass drive and I am not a big fan of seeing shows there. The Foos will be worth it, Im sure.
Long enough for the clouds to fly me away
I LOVE WHEN HE DOES THAT!!!!

The one that started the thread, Worcester. I should have specified.
You've got to be kidding. I think they are currently as good as they've ever been. I saw them 2 weeks ago and I can say that was the first concert I've ever been to where my neck hurt the next day from the head banging. I'd put it at a close second to any PJ show. I'm hoping they'll have a 2nd leg of the US tour in the fall, 'cause I'm going to see them again if they do.

the foo fighters are amazing live...one of the best arena concerts i've been to. dave's interaction with the crowd is awesome. you'll have a fantastic time i'm sure
