What would your causes be?

If you could develop some causes, some not really well known ones, what would they be?

Here are a couple of mine...........


1. Please free Michael Vick and restore his career; and put his cousin in jail.

2. Please tell the envrionmentalists that drilling in Alaska is better than paying $4 a gallon for gas.

3. Please tell P.I.T.A. to leave me alone at the circus.........

PETA. People for the ethical treatment of animals.

With all due respect, am more interested in the preservation of our wildlife then driving a bigass gas guzzler and living in a gigantic mansion...but that is only my opinion. As for PETA, I admit they are extreme..but the friggin circus is cruel. Now if only I could be a vegetarian...:o

These 2 things I feel strongly about.


1. If I had the expertise and the money I would research and find a cure of cancer.

2. If i had the resources I would create a compound for all unwanted and abused animals.

ok, with my tail between my legs here you got me; yes, after all of the "pita" comments of which I did not get (I am Greek, so only one type of pita for me) I will say that I have valid points but need to get the spelling correct. maybe that speaks of my ignorance on subjects , living subjects that are unimportant to me.

And, uh, ok, unless they make collagen or can help Pam Anderson's plastic surgery causes, please leave those beautiful creatures out of the hateful circus, etc.

Because dear people, when we are distracted by all of this personal arguments, when we are given the "smoke and mirrors", then we are powerless to change the real issues in the world, i.e., teen pregnancy, drug addiction, mental break down, family deterioration, economic heartship, etc. because we are too tired to really tackle the things we can change.

I'd create a cause against your second cause. But that already exists. So I'd copy it, I guess.

if i had *tons* of cash:

- start a research fund to help find cures for cancer and AIDS

- buy out huge parcels of land and empty out local animal shelters and give them a place to live, have people live and work there to help take care of them

- architectural preservation

LOL...you think the gas prices will drop by simply doing this stupid offshore drill operation Bush is calling for? I'll be probably be 50-years-old by then and we'll definitely have more advance and more eco-friendly vehicles by then.

One of the things I really like about the message pit is that if I keep my mind open, I always learn something new. So, I humbly, (is that a word?) thank you for the new info.

please know that I am just hear to discuss things and learn new things and one of the things I always learn new is that I don't know all there is to learn.
