I went bowling the night I met the person that became my (ex) fiance

Bowling is fun! I'm not very good at it though. I kind of just roll the ball down the lane :)
I haven't gone bowling in the longest.

apparently I'm not 'ready to date' though :rolleyes : or so I've heard, so what do I know?

Well see at least it started off ok ? :o

It is fun. Good Christian fun :p Seriously I am not so great at it either but it is fun to just be goofy sometimes and black light bowling which may or may not be a good first date. We went bowling for our staff day in December... our team won a price and it was the first time I had bowled out here with their big balls  LMAO

I also liked the wolf's idea about airports. I get nerdily excited in airports so I think I would quite like the stories.... I mean not always but no pretty much I always do. There actually may be a video of me singing a Dolly Parton song in the Verona airport but lets not go there... I blame it on lack of sleep :p

okay, so my airport idea was shot down, thats cool. when it comes down to it, im very very easy, i have always been way more into just hanging out with ( enter adult beverage of choice here ) and just talking.

its crazy how much you find out about each other without the distraction of " a cool date "

but then again, like i said, im a geek !
nice post and so true... I'm much more comfortable going out for dinner or just drinks than anything else now. Sometimes life's too fast and it's good to just sit and listen/talk/laugh

I actually met this guy bowling. Actually at a comedy club that I dragged my friends to (which was lacking in funny), somehow we all decided to go bowling afterword.

It was a kick ass time :)

if a quy said to me, hey you like cemeteries? that would be it for me. i'd be running my fingers over those granite headstones so quick his head would be spinning. :D

i find cemeteries peaceful regenerative places where i can restore my equilibrium.

    1. Knock your date out with chloroform.
    2. Throw on helicopter to secret location.
    3. Groom, wax, pedicure, dress, & pamper.
    4. Provide dance & etiquette lessons.
    5. Do a waltz, snap a photo, kiss under a table.

    Have fun!

yeah, getting older is hell sometimes. but i would much rather just hang out rather then go on a date date.

i went out with this girl once who LOVED, no shit, to go to the look out area at the airport to watch planes take off.

she said she didnt know why.

i told her i thought it was because she lked the idea of the people on the planes going away, to some cool place.

so that became "our place" we would sit there, drink cheap champagine and for every plane that would take off i would make up stories about a person on the plane , where they were going and why. she would get so excited. lol i have no idea why that made her so happy.

even after we stopped seeing each other, every now and then she would call me and ask me to go there with her.
    cheesy i know.

oh my gosh this is so sweet :) what a cute story! only because i can easily see myself doing similar kind of weirdness :o maybe not the planes, but perhaps something else.

By the way, I loved the airport idea, but, I live just outside DC, and you can't get anywhere near the landing/take off area. Although my driveway is damn close.... very nice idea though.

Just got back from date #1. It was good :)
I don't fancy myself much of a conversationalist, but we actually had really great conversation (that really says something, I am shy).

I told him about my solo trip to san diego, and the reasons why I am going (to see EV), so tommorow night he's making me dinner, and we're watching into the wild.
