As a cat person, my response is to have at least one cat. We never see mice, due to 6 cats, and cats make great pets.

What a pain. But whatever you decide to do, please, please get rid of them in a humane way. :)
..but then they may come back or visit someone elses house.

when i was living at my parent's, my bedroom was in the basement of their house, and i occassionally heard mice in the ceiling, and even saw one run across my carpet.

we put glue traps in the ceiling and bought this device that you plug into an electrical socket, and it emits a very high pitch sound that only animals/rodents can detect, and it drives them insane and they have no choice but to flee your house. worked like a charm! did not hear or see mice the second we plugged it in.

about a week later, my sister brought her dog over and it started flipping out, running in circles and barking it's head off. we didn't know what was wrong, but then my dad remembered that we had that device plugged in, so he pulled it out and the second he did, my sister's dog calmed down and was his normal self. no joke! check it out... you should be able to find it in your local hardware store.

I've got a mouse problem, not the thing attached to my computer, the furry little four legged bastards. They're holding a disco in the loft every night, running about and chewing up the insulation. I've tried putting down the poison bait but they turned their noses up at that. I even tried mixing it with breakfast cereal and they ate the cereal and left the poison granules.

Anyone else have this problem and did you solve it.

    House of Mouse.

this isnt a problem... the chances of a theme park developing in your house are increased by 1 percent!
  • Get a 3 month old kitten and don't overfeed it.

Keep on putting the cat in the loft may prove a bit of a pain.

Do these things really work? I saw one yesterday and wondered. Do you need more than one or can they hear this from anywhere in the house?

  • Get a cat????

Even though I'm not sure my super domesticated lazy ass cats would know what to do with a mouse. Maybe bat it around a bit. I don't think they have it in them to kill. I've created lazy bums.
