Yeah, while I'll admit that the US healthcare is fucked up... Moore's films are notorious for only shedding light on one side of the problem, and not being completely balanced.Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.0 -
People in Canada often complain about waiting lists for MRI's/Elective surgeries/etc... and I understand that causes stress... *shrugs* Do you think you would be better off if you could trade in a wait for tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills??Exercising her will to lose control...

it's a good documentary, and definitely made me want to move to france.
it's such a racket with insurance companies. i've had several fights with health insurance. it disgusts me that when you're at your lowest physically, that's when they try to take advantage of you.0 -

I agree;)chiquimonkey wrote:it's the worst, my heart goes out to anybody that has to do battle with one. i remember when i had to get my gallbladder removed...the last gallstone attack i had was so bad i went to the ER (that's when i found out what the prob was). thing was the closest hospital wasn't on my policy, however they said i could go to any ER as long as my doc said it was cool. i called my doctor as i was on the kitchen floor in agony, got his approval. the insurance company then spent 7 months coming after me to pay for the ER bill. threatening me, the whole 9. and when they finally relented, no apology or anything. fucking bastards.

"it was silly of me to assume I could provide you with something of no value whatsoever, waste your time, and then attach such a large amount to it"
Classic!
That was excellent.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions

That just isn't right - it baffles me how one of the richest nations on the planet can't or won't look after its own. It's been a while since I saw Sicko, but my lasting memory was of the guy who cut off a couple of his fingers in a freak accident, and had to choose which finger he wanted re-attached; they could have saved both, but his insurance wouldn't cover him for both.0 -
