I've never been the mass definition of 'normal'... I like it that way.
Me neither. Ever since I was young I've had people calling me weird or crazy. I am not really so in the clinical sense of the word but I am learning to appreciate the fact that I am different and don't worry whether people like me or have a problem with me or not. I have friends who accept me as I am and that's what counts.
Having a disability pretty much makes you forget the word 'normal' even exists. The word means nothing to me except a tool of power used by the pompous.
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

I didn't say disabled people couldn't be pompous shits.. I can be. So can people suffering mental health problems. To say that people who use the word 'normal' as a staple in their vocabulary are pompous shits, does not exclude other people from being pompous shits. I was merely commenting on the word 'normal', the subject of this thread.

normal is a social construct. people use the term without thinking. as if it were 'normal' to do so.

That's THEIR issues/problem.
Do YOU want to change?
Don't do something just to please or appease others.
YOU are the one that matters
To keep you clear of the sun
You've been burned more than once
You don't think much of trust
