Is there a holiday coming up? I'm excited about going back to Maine for Colombus Day weekend, but that's about it.

TPBM is secretly wearing shearling slippers under their desk because it's cool out today and they have cold feet.

    actually true

TPBM is jealous that TPAT has small feet and can get away with buying kid's shoes and therefore saving money on damn expensive shearling slippers...

Pffffft false. Size nine, sometimes 9 1/2 feet. I'm tall (she said defensively before anyone could post a crack about canoe feet).

TPBM sometimes makes the Pfffft sound in conversation.

Out shopping for biscuits and new teatowels in preparation for Black Diamond's visit.

TPBM thinks Black Diamond+Thrilla=Potential International Incident.

My, he plans well in advance doesn't he? BD did say he'd give Thrilla a kiss for me, so yes a PII could transpire.

TPBM is going to go to D-man's bar this weekend and report back on how it went.

TPBM will probably meet up with Boo Boo....

I do long to sneak up behind Boo Boo and say something startling and likely to provoke a "Would you quit it!"

TPBM very much misses the TPAMSBT thread... :(

yes it was good times...we could start a 'The person above me is cool because....'

TPBM kind of wishes it was a teeny-tiny bit more 'out of control' than it is now......

True, but I just noticed that I'm seven posts short of 5000 and I feel like this is an occasion.

TPBM will send me a congratulatory card, and enclosed within will be $50.

  • Maybe, at this post she has one more to go.

tpbm gets nothing accomplished once they gets sucked into the computer, the night might as well be over.

True, although I did download my weekend photos so I can post to the Doggie thread.

TPBM is going to bed in exactly 15 minutes.

  • doubtful...that is way too early. I am like a 1:00 bed-timer

tpbm needs a full 8 hours of sleep to be her bright chipper self.
  • unlost dogsunlost dogs Posts: 12,553
Ohhhhh so true, and it's 30 minutes past my goal time. :? (But I did get the photos posted!) I am never chipper first thing in the morning, though. Unless by "chipper" you mean bleary-eyed and shuffling in circles.

TPBM wakes up many times during the night for reasons unknown.

tpbm has fallen asleep in meetings before

False, I had evil bosses 'don't poke the bear!'

TPBM likes to throw paper clips at the person dozing off in meetings

    False.

TPBM was giving a presentation earlier today and for the first time in three years of giving this presentation every month, saw one of the new employees pull out a smartphone and start typing. So TPBM stopped talking, walked over to where the new employee was sitting, and said in a pleasant tone loud enough for everyone to hear, "Are you texting me?" And the new employee hurredly put the phone back in their pocket and said, "Sorry, sorry."

  • Sounds like you would make a good teacher...only our students are aloud to have phones, just every other distraction in the world.

tpbm likes being the center of attention.

not really, even though my astrological sign says that I do....

TPBM is the 'favorite teacher' at school....

  • Well, for all the wrong reasons. I have two guinea pigs and an aquarium. In the spring we hatch chicken eggs and the kids get to take home a chicken if they have permission. You get the picture...

tpbm remembers school being rather boring.
  • RKCNDYRKCNDY Posts: 31,013
well, mostly...now that I know the kids don't get recess, I'm glad that I got recess. (In 6th grade we studied rats and I couldn't take home a rat  )

TPBM likes fresh eggs for breakfast....(well, only if they are un-fertilized)

  • no recess? That is terrible...we still get recess. Thank bejesus.

Yes, I do like fresh eggs.

    tpbm likes eggs over easy.
  • RKCNDYRKCNDY Posts: 31,013
    yes, actually I do

yeah, they axed recess because it 'took up too much valuable teaching time' ...ok those people should try to teach a group of 30 antsy elementary kids ALL day with only a lunch break!

TPBM hardly buys produce at the store because she grows her own

tpbm really likes fresh okra from the garden in the summer.

I have never had fresh okra....

    TPBM likes wild mountain blueberries
