Does she have any hobbies? You could buy her something for one of those... if not or if she's difficult to choose from you can't go wrong with flowers/chocolate/dinner or all of the above!
The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
Chicago 07? And love
What a different life
Had I not found this love with you
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
TC's got the right idea...gift card for pedicure/manicure is always a good gift...not that I'm a mom!!!
Even just the pedicure. Get the nicer one...around 40-50 dollars. She will be there for over an hour being pampered. If you have a Coco Spa around you, they are awesome. I think they are a chain.
I would skip the Mother's day brunch as they are always rushing you through and it gets crazy. Unless you are going to the Silvermine Tavern in Norwalk, CT
Dark chocolate truffles.
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
I usually give my mom a gift certificate for something indulgent...massage, pedicure, facial etc and some godiva truffles...and then take her to dinner of course! I like to get her something I know she'll enjoy but that she would never get for herself.
I could get my mother a gift certificate to a spa, and she would be all like happy about it, and then she would NEVER actually go because she doesn't like going places on her own and claims she has housework to do every single weekend. it's very frustrating.
I think the entire family is going to dinner, and I got her flowers from us and the kids.
Now I just have to get up the nerve to tell her I love her. I know, it shouldn't be hard...
Oh, you were asking about YOUR mom?
I thought you meant your wife.
Going to dinner and flowers is fine, especially if you are from an emotionally repressed family.
Nice idea.

why would he get a mother's day gift for his wife?
Being a mom of 4 sons....my favorite gifts from my crew are ones that tell me that they really know who I am(not just their mom), and appreciate me. I love nature, and especially birds....anything that involves that is a huge hit for me! I've gotten, bird baths, feeders, books, binoculars, plants and trees for our yard, that not only look pretty but give back to nature. Last year my 5 men (and Petey too!) took me hiking to a beautiful water falls where we had a picnic lunch, and then out for Sushi....it was a picture perfect day.

I think that's the key to any gift, really. sometimes at christmas and birthdays and stuff, I think my family and friends have never met me by the stuff they give me! You have to really think about the person's interests and tastes if a gift is going to mean anything.
Well I probably should get something from the kids for their mom, and something for my gf's son to give to his mom...
yip, that would definitely get you in the good books.

Oops, sorry, didn't know the family tree.
Yes, to what you suggested.
Not only is it nice for the mom, but it strengthens the bond between you and the children. It could be as simple as a homemade card and some wildflowers. I love when my son tries to write his name.
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
I'd hate some stupid kiddie drawing to thank me for all I've done over the year
If I have kids, they'd best give me diamonds for mothers day

Or some dark chocolate truffles and a bottle of red wine.
I like to garden so something she could plant.
Don't do jewlery.
Just my opinion.
Or a gift card to have a long, relaxing pedicure.
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

tell her you love her
make her dinner
most importantly,
tell her that you love her
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside

He cries oh, girl you must be mad,

Yes that's always a good gift.
If she regularly gets manicures/pedicures, her regular place you could get her a gift card from there.
Flowers are nice, but as a mom, I'd prefer the other suggestions.
Love a nice visit means more than any of the above.
Coming from a mommy.
I always get my mom a pretty flowering plant or some pansies to plant in her front yard.
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
"To is a preposition.
Come is a verb"
This is gonna be a tough one. emotionally repressed family, if ya know what I mean.

kids should make stuff for mothers/fathers day.
In some worlds, the husband will acknowledge the wife and mother of his children on Mother's Day.
