manny should get mvp damm hi's great in the clutch and i would give joe magr of the yr .....i don't think the dodgers make the playoffs with out these two that's my opinion ..

manny for mvp - i don't see a reason why not....and he could have gone to any team and done the same and i'd still feel the same.....most valuable player....he may have only been there for a couple months, but his presence/attitude got the team into the playoffs.....what's more valuable than that? :)

I have been a Dodger fan forever..

    Go Big Blue Bus, Go!!!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

My puppy got me up at 4:00 this morning....couldn't sleep anyway.....I was too excited. :D

Got my Dodger hat on, again (not really :D).

23 of 28 teams winning Game One of the NLDS have gone on to win the thing. I like those odds :D. Zambrano may be shaky tonight. Let's hope so.

Regarding walking Manny: An overlooked part of the story is the guys batting in front of Manny have been taking walks themselves! That makes it next to impossible to walk Manny without major damage (i.e., last night, with Loney's grand salami).

Now, if they start to give Furcal and Martin meaty fastballs, they need to make them pay.

Billingsley is arguably the Dodgers' most dominant starter. I like our chances tonight, but I am sure Zambrano will bring it too.

Billingsley has been the most consistent Dodgers pitcher this season. He has a nasty fastball in the mid-90's and a slider that hits the low-90's at times. He is a terror against impatient, strikeout-prone teams like the Cubs; in fact, he had 201 strikeouts in 200 innings this year. That's big-time.

I'm expecting a well-pitched, tightly-contested game tonight. If the Dodgers win, I can't see the Cubs coming back to win the series.

I have tickets for games 3 and 4 (if necessary) in L.A. I've never been to a baseball playoff game before. It's gonna be crazzzzzzzzzzy.

Well, not so much in the Cubs thread man. For the most part we're all real fans. But I'll give you that plenty of people on the board would "root" for the Cubs cause of Eddie, which is lame as hell. You guys spanked us, but you're organization is a class act, unlike certain other teams. So just cheer on your team like you're doing, and leave it at that for now.

PS Manny is the best postseason hitter I've ever seen, time to start walking that guy. That trade has obviously been great for you guys.

Don't get too down, and us Dodger fans shouldn't get too up. It's just one game. Don't buy into the media saying it's over.

There are probably more Cub fans in the country than almost any other sports team, so I don't think everyone who says they are a Cubs fan is because of Eddie here.

That's ridiculous. They don't think the Cubs can take 3 of 4 from the Dodgers?

I was 15 and watching the game by myself in my room. I went batshit and ran down the hall, where my parents were jumping up and down. Still gives me goosebumps when they show it.

Hopefully the debate. I want the Dodgers to win in a boring 8-0 game.

By contrast, I want the debate to be full of heated exchanges.

That's ridiculous. They don't think the Cubs can take 3 of 4 from the Dodgers?

This series is far from over.

I agree that's why I told the Cubs fan not to think it was over.

I was 15 and watching the game by myself in my room. I went batshit and ran down the hall, where my parents were jumping up and down. Still gives me goosebumps when they show it.

I was 9 and watching with my brother on our tiny portable t.v. (with a 6 inch screen?) in our bedroom.

It was the first year I had watched baseball and, of course, had fallen in love with the Dodgers during their gritty, underdog season.

Gibby's home run sent volts of excitement down my spine and I remember almost crying.

The next day my brother and I went to the park with our bat (with a sawed-off handle) and a tennis ball and acted out the moment over and over again until we got it just right. :)

Awesome. I remember the pregame show for Game 2 like it was yesterday. They spliced Gibson's HR together with the HR scene from the Natural. It was unreal.
