dude, how well did u do on reading comprehension when u were in school

i like darks, not brights when it comes to klausen
i like bright colors, not dark colors when it comes to ames
hope thats clearer, but read it again, not trying to call u out its just funny
um got a 32 on my ACTs thanks...

how i read it was you prefer the dark color prints out of klausens work (implying that he has others that are NOT dark... otherwise there would be no need to specify) rather than saying "i prefer klausens work BECAUSE its darker"

    stoopid me :p

agreed... the Ames Bros. painting background is a definite advantage for them and allows for more fluidity and fun with their work... rather than BK who clearly has more of a GD background and very rigid work
    This definitely isn't dull (colors)

the colors themselves arent dull but the color scheme is... color should be used to highlight specific areas and the way BK uses it there just floods the whole print and does nothing thematically

RIGID - yeah, great description. I think that says it all about Klaussen's work.

I'm not saying BK's posters are better than Ames' posters. Actually, most of my all-time favorite posters are Ames, but most are from 1998. All I ask from Ames is to return to that 1998 style of art. While, Ames still produces a few gems here and there, some posters they produce are just plain terrible.

if you need a ruler, french curve, and compass to design its probably "rigid"... not saying it doesnt take skill or its not art... its just not for me

    Ames is doing:

    -west palm
    -tampa
    -bonnaroo
    -columbia
    -dc
-msg (both nights, same poster, different colors)
-Mansfield (both shows, same poster, different colors)

    Klausen must be doing:

    -va beach
-camden (I'm assuming same poster both nights/different colors)
    -hartford

Not necessarily limited to 3 for klausen (hopefully its Klausen).
....Chicago 06 had night 1 Ames and night 2 Klausen
    It's all happening....

    East Troy 2003
    Chicago x2, Summerfest x2, 2006
    Chicago THE VIC, Lollapalooza, 2007
    bonnaROOOOOOO 2008
    Chicago x2 2009

    (EV chicago 2008 night 2)

Computer imagery.... you know that klausen hand draws everything in detail first and only uses the computer for coloration and tightening the lines....

example click to show the pics and click through to see the original drawing...

everything is a big word. See Eds solo posters... Brad didnt have time to draw those out. I'm just happy they are touring, and we will get a chance for more music, posters, and hopefully a west coast date....

Both have created great posters. Just be happy that there are shows.... No shows.... No posters.....

Brad is a one man band. How many could he create in a short amount of time? I think the breakdown is pretty easy to figure out.

OK does everyone KNOW that Mansfield and MSG are gonna be the same each night just different colors because it was announced? Or is this just speculation?

That may be true, but to me, that's not what his "art" represents. I've always disliked his stuff - for me it's just garish. Just my opinion. If you like it, fine, buy it.

    do the math..
theeres 13 shows which means each of Pjs designers, Coby, Barry and Brad gets roughly 4 prints each. I know we've yet to see them but show a little faith..the first one wasn't great, the second is great so hopefully it's all gonna come good.

I was ready for them to split with Brad, but them doing 10 Brad 3? Doesn't seem right. Many people (Me included) think Brad is so much better at Pearl Jam Posters.

He's doing both Boston show's, that usually means he will just change the color and date and call it good.

    Art is objective...that being said...

Ames owns Klausen, just check out the 98 tour, all classics..

Klausen Gorge for example is so weak, that is Bush League, compared to the Ames Gorge...
