According to what Jeff just said on the KJR interview, a Key Arena show is not going to happen anytime soon because Seattle Center, home of the Key is "horribly mismanaged" and just "too hard to work with."

No, no more shows planned. He said they were taking some time off and then are going to work on the new record. He said he liked the White River Ampitheater and asked the interviewer if he had any suggestions of where to play in Seattle. He said to play Safeco Field since they played Fenway. Jeff corrected him and said they hadn't played Fenway, but as far as he knew they had a standing invitation and had just talked about the other day.

Some good nuggets from the Jeff interview about playing in Seattle.

I will provide a summary for those that didn't hear it.

    - The Seattle Center/Key Arena is very difficult for anyone to work with. Which is basically why Seattle proper hasn't got a show in a while.

-He mentioned White River and the Gorge as really being the only viable options to play.

-The DJ suggested playing at Safeco because he heard about the Fenway rumor. The Fenway thing is open for PJ anytime, Theo talked to the band when they were just there.

-Jeff said they could play Safeco on their farewell tour ;)

No more sonics, or good places to play around Seattle. I've heard this from some of my buddies who are sound engineers. They work the smaller venues all over Seattle but the big ones dont sound great. Paramount isn't big enouph unless they play a week straight. Ive never seen a show at White River, I would love too though............hint hint......

When I look at the above chart of where and when PJ played here last. Man........its sure brings the point that Seattle could use a show. I'm sure the cost of touring and all that are involved with the decision process....I quess shows have become like PJ posters and other PJ mechandise,........hard to come by. There rare and the days of going to a local show may be too fue and far between. Traveling seems to be the way of the future. Which (sucks cause they)cost more.

    At least there boots thought.

I still feel like theres hope though.........white river never looked so good.

Happy Birthday America and thanks to our troops. Here here, Well said.

Other than that one statement I think your point is half right. We here in the Pacific North West do have a lot of great bands. Although many acts dont head this far up. This also can be said for other parts of the country too! So for me I try and see some small bands that people have probably never heard of at smaller venues. Some are good many are just o.k. Pearl Jam has had some shows in the Seattle Area in the fast hand full of years although they are either secrete shows, which means by the time you find out about them there sold out. Which is most fustrating because I ckeck this board every day and have some friends in the music industry. My eyes and ears are open like a tiger. The other shows sell like crazy. Grandmothers and kids alike seem to jump over fences when Pearl Jam comes arounds. I always find my self saying "where the hell have you guys been hiding." It just makes it harder to get tickets. THe Gorge which they played in 05 and 06 is about 3 hours away. Your basically travelling and having to spend hotel or camping money for a show. I think we here are just suprized that we haven't seen Pearl Jam play a tour show here in the Seattle Area in a long while. (Two shows just to make sure everyone can see ya.) At this point if I lived in California I would have been able to see them a lot more. Just a thought and point of fustration. Fustration will pass and make me party that much harder when I see them again. My old friends.

But then again aren't we all fustrated that this round of shows is over. I feel like someone pressed fast foward on my life and I missed something.

DVR is ready though for Rock Honors.

Man I wish I was wealthy I would be all over the f...ing place rocking out. 1 show for Ed, heck no. All of them. Pearl Jam....all of them. Green River...yep.

    Oh..............yeh.....Green River....................

    I can't wait.

I am in for this, but I can't see a "showbox tour" going off since they could sell out 2 or maybe even 3 straight nights in the Key.

I would like to see the showbox stuff go down, but another back-to-back charity-fest in the Key this Dec. would be great.

    Just my 2 cents.
