Please play the Seattle area (Gorge included!)!!!

I know the Gorge is a long drive - but it is a spectacular trip away from the city. I would be totally stoked for a summertime Gorge show, or a non-summertime Seattle show.

I would accept Portland too!!! :D

    Now, DO IT!!!

I hate White River. IMO it is just a bad low-res reproduction of the far superior Gorge. And it is on the rainier/colder side of the mountains. Plus the parking situation is atrocious!! If we're staying on this side of the Cascades, I'd rather it just be at The Key or Showbox, or somewhere in Portland. Really anywhere else but the White River Amphitheatre.

    Again!
  • seattle would be fantastic -- anywhere on west coast is good with me.

in the meantime, please come to the Showbox May 3rd to support Mike McCready/ CCFA benefit.

A few years ago, Eddie surprised everone by opening for Flight to Mars - even played drums during his set. it was so much fun!

    LOL! Agreed!!!

Or, they could try to bring the Moore crumbling down (the rest of the way). Ha! And Showbox MARKET, please, if I'm allowed to be picky. I like it better than the SoDo one. :)

What's wrong with The Key? It could hold as many people as would want to attend.

I could see a Showbox (market) and a Key show.

I'll sign. There is no reason why PJ shouldn't play Seattle.

The Coliseum is OK, better than the WAMU theatre where I saw Neil Young last fall.
How bout Memorial Stadium? KOL sounded pretty good last summer.

While I respect calling venues by their original name, The Key is far better from what The Coliseum used to be. I have never seen a bad show (due to the venue) at The Key Arena.

Memorial Stadium is great, I haven't seen PJ there since the Yield tour.

Any place in Seattle that can support a large crowd is fine with me, or The Gorge. I just don't understand the hate for The Key. There isn't a bad seat in the house.
  • I agree with this. I've always enjoyed my time spent at the key. Its also in a very convenient location which is good for people coming from out of town, say, about 2.5 hours to the south ;)

They said no more tour this year, in stidio in April....But I think they need to stay sharp and do some showbox shows, maybe they need a few extra bucks to buy those kids toys for Xmas!!!!

That's right and besides, playing in Seattle isn't a tour. It could be more like just a fun night out for them. So what do you say guys, a coupla nights at the Showbox, you can drive home and sleep in your own cozy beds. : )

Plus I can't help thinking Benaroya would be the perfect place for Ed to do one more solo show.

I made an important decision last night. I decided to pass on the Ed solo tour and save up my money for hopefully a small West tour in October. It's always been a dream of mine to see them in Seattle, so I'm putting all of my support in this thread now.

I have a question though, if they do play the Gorge again, what do most people do. I know there are no hotels there, so does everyone drive in each day or do you camp out there? I've always wondered. Also, how far away is the Gorge from Seattle?

I just wanted to also add that a couple of seattle shows would also be nice.
I missed the secret shows and to be honest I dont know how people found out about them. I mean.....I'm on this site every day, I check ticket master alot, I keep my ears open with some budies would work as sound engeneers. We have a huge fan base here in the Seattle area. It would be pretty sweet to see them here.

I would travel if I could but my job and kid aren't really letting me.
I just miss ya Pearl Jam. Please come back.

Now that there is no home team at Key Arena, I propose that Pearl Jam play 41 home dates each year to take up the slack.

There are places with hotels close by...went to the last two gorge shows...got a hotel like 10 miles away....was no biggy getting there leave a bit early and your good to go. $100.00 bucks a night...great deal.

Sooo with that....I'll sign on for couple more Gorge shows...Seattle would be fine as well....but there's just no comparison in being outside with such a dramatic back drop...plus is it just me..or do outdoor venues sound so much better than sound bouncing all around indoors.

Plus there are some incredible swimming holes scattered in the desert...beutiful clear cold water....so bad a$$.

While I love the Gorge, it sure can be a hall. The two Key Arena shows they had years back (so far back I can't even remember right now) were pretty awsome. Not only did they rock but Seatilites could be home soon after. Or more likely be home soon after the parties are done with. Seattles a cool place to hang, but lately it seems to be under the economic squeeze, in my opinion. A certain portion of Seattilites are hurting. I mean look at home prices........and how they dont fall. Anyway........I could bitch about that forever. I just think some Seattle shows would be pretty cool. Because there is a big fan base here the Key seems like the best two day venue other than the gorge.

I feel like i'm having withdrawls or something..........
I miss you PJ. It just keeps getting harder and harder for people to get to see shows in the Pacific North West. They sell out in seconds. If I had a penny for how many times ive hit the refresh button on Ten clubs site or ticket master i would have a pretty nice nest egg.

    Love you guys.
