I think karma is pretty random in itself...just the underlying theory stays the same. And I also think it is directly linked to your outlook of it and how much you
doubt verses how much you stay positive. Because great things happen all the time in people's lives but they overlook it, are afraid to go for what they really want, don't appreciate things for what they are or can be, are busy wanting more or looking elsewhere...whatever the case may be...because their outlook is so negative and doubtful, they miss all the wonderful things happening around them which leads them to dismiss their life as misery. Life is beautiful...you just have to look around and find what makes that fact true for you.

    pretty much..
    positive energy gd it..
emit, it's all about what one emits..
be free of it all unless it bleeds...
nothing matters, for the most part,,,unless it bleeds
live life as a child of laughter
be as carefree as a dandelion butterfly summer sky
who really gives a fuck about much of anything??? everybody does..
    that sucks man...
    my thinking..unless it bleeds, i don't care..
education bleeds, = it is striving to learn, a struggle bleeds..

Slip Kid...if it makes you feel any better and this is assuming you care at all about me...I haven't exactly been on a pleasure cruise.

Like I said you can always talk to me...you know my number or email ..whatever. I can't be a bitch forever.

I know what you're saying and it's true.

It's just hard to see it sometimes

    It can. :)

But I know exactly what you're saying. I will be the first to say it's much easier to give advice than to follow through with always living that way. It takes a certain amount of determination to implement these life altering perspective changes...and I know all about how easy it can be to forget what you know to be true and slip back...it's never easy.

That's basically what goes down on the AMT everyday, actually. hahaha It's just some can get really wordy about it. :)

Yeah...those kind of posts help pull me outta the thick of things and say 'is it even worth it to bother with some people when they obviously aren't concerned about exchanging thoughts and opinions but rather they are just trying to stir the shit?' I still get sucked in sometimes. :o Maybe it's the fighter in me thinking I'll make a difference and get through somehow...oooooops, rambling again :D

I suppose in some regards this could be true

I'm not trying to say i have it THAT bad but it just sucks at times

many of you though have good outlooks
I just don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die.

Good PJ quote.. "It's all state of mind"..

When things are in the shitter, pull back for a second, take a deep breath, think about how much worse they COULD be, think about how they WILL get better.. life is what you make it.

That kind of thinking is what helps me out.. and of course the occasional alcoholic beverage. :p

I watch his speech every time I'm feeling down/depressed.

He died about two months later after the speech but seeing how joyful he was about life makes me want to live regardless of how depressed I am.

That is a great way to look at life. I have never heard it put that way before but I have thought about it when life is draining me mostly because there are people in my life , who are not even the primary people in my life (my kids are the only primary people in my life) who do things that are so rude and hurtful, that you not only end up hurt if you take them in but you also end up bleeding all over the innocnt people that don't have a thing to do with it.

One of my friends lost his father last year. His mother died two days ago. He is 18 and has two younger siblings. It put things into perspective, doesn't it.

Life is hard. Society is hard and cold. At times I have felt so utterly alone and lonely... those moments when you're spent, when you're completely broken and can't carry yourself anymore, when you can't even fake a smile anymore... You feel so completely alone like no one could possible understand the hardships you are going through, or they just don't care enough to listen.

I think if everyone just made a little more time for each other, made time to listen to each other it would help a lot. A friend told me how she knew who her real friends were. They are the ones who ask 'how are you' twice, the second time they'll say; 'no, really, how are you' and they'd be willing to listen - and not just wait their turn to speak.

I think most people don't want to take on the weight of other people's problems because they have their own problems and worries. But I think they've got it backwards. I think by sharing and talking and listening you do not add weight but you lift weight together and I think that's easier.

But people just worry too much about nothing. People should learn to worry less.

I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened. ~Mark Twain

We can easily manage if we will only take, each day, the burden appointed to it. But the load will be too heavy for us if we carry yesterday's burden over again today, and then add the burden of the morrow before we are required to bear it. ~John Newton
