OK, so I was working last night for the Obama campagin trying to sign people to help out. Anyway I was walking around with my clip board getting people to sign up when I see these two pretty lookin' girls and I ask them if they would like to help out sometime in the near future.

So I was talking to one of them asking where they went to college and what they did, and I noticed she was wearing a claddagh ring with the heart pointed outward, which means her heart is available, she's single. So we all talked for a bit, then I moved on. So after I went home last night, I went to sleep, woke up and still remembered her name and where she went to school. (I never wrote anything down and turned all my paper work in) So I looked up in her college directory and found how to spell her name. So I looked her up on myspace and there she was. So I haven't contacted her, and I guess if I do, I won't for a while. I just wanted to talk to her some more and go out for sushi.

But like is what I did bad? I feel like some creepy stalker guy, but I honestly mean no harm. She might come in to volunteer, but I kinda doubt it. I just kinda wanted to expreiment to see if what I did like is ok and works.

Um...I'd definitely be uncomfortable if a guy did that to me...I mean you went WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of your way to find her.

She will either be freaked out or flattered. Either way, it is a better approach than hiding in the bushes and waiting for her to take her next shower...

Her heart may be available but what about her vagina?

    BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hey, if you want to ask her out why not just hang around the area you last ran into her?

  • The way I look at myspace is this:

You know those girls who wear tight, revealing shirts or short skirts then get mad if someone checks them out right? Well, don't wear shit like that and you might not get looked at. I'm not talking about harrassing cat calls, just a glance, even a stare. Like the chick who wear the pants with writing on the ass.

So, if you are going to put up a myspace page and use your real name, don't get mad if someone finds you. It's like a telephone number, if you don't want people to know it, unlist it.
Opinions are like assholes, everyones got one.

you should pull a borat and go get her in a potato sack :D

Just kidding what the hell man maybe wait and see if she comes to volunteer then if not see if she wants to grab a bit i guess.

I mean if you don't do anything and she never comes in you'll never get to know her. If you ask her and she says yes you will have a chance to talk to her again or she can say no and you are in the same position as before not ever seeing her again.

but take my advice with a grain of salt i am single lol

It's not like you got her name off of an AIDS charity walk list. :p

Well if she is on myspace...she is out there for people to find. You found her!

Yeah, good advice, I won't contact her, but I gotta say I was pretty damn smooth with pickin' up the meaning of her claddagh ring .

Unless I give a guy my contact info in a "this is how to contact me further for a date" type way, I'd be really freaked out if they found me using contact info a gave for another reason..

I think it depends on the guy and the chemistry too.

There have been times when I've been way too shy to flirt or give a number to but would have loved if that particular guy had followed up, and then there are some that I'd have run a mile from.

Sometimes if a vibe is there you have to make it happen, or try and put it to rest if nothing comes out of it. I am the queen of lost opportunity, and am probably not going to change now, however, I wish I had the courage that some people do when it comes to dating etc.

Good call on the claddagh - most people wear them and have no clue what they mean!!

ask her out dude ... life is too short to worry about things like this ... if she's not into it ... move on - if myspace wasn't designed that way it might be different but that's part of it ...

I think this is funny how society has changed. At one time it was perfectly acceptable for him to slay a dragon and rescue you from a tower guarded by orcs, but today this can't happen. :p

I don't think it's bad at all..you like her and you are showing interest. Now if she doesn't show it back then you should just leave it alone.

I'm waffling on this one, but I think it would be ok to just like leave a myspace friend request or something.

    +1

It will be weirder if you wait to talk to her. Send her a friend request or whatever you do on myspace. If she doesn't remember you then fuck it.

Seriously! I would've been impressed with the part about working for the Obama campaign enough so that I'd be flattered if someone contacted me.

If she's on MySpace or Facebook and her profile is public and searchable, she wants to be found. Sending her a message is completely harmless, she can either respond or ignore it. What do you have to lose?

    I would contact her.
It's not like you swiped her info off your list.
You myspaced her and found her.
No harm in sending her a message.
    Do it!

tell her you asked barack if he'd be cool with you scamming on girls from the sign up sheet. tell her his response was, "yes we can!" (or "si se puede" if she is a spanish speaker) ;)
