    Nope. I'd much rather die young. I see old people walking across the street not bothering to look for cars, losing their faculties...basically just losing their mind. I don't want to be that way. I guess that's a bit selfish but....that's how i feel.

    im with you on that one. thus my fear of alzheimer's. id rather go down in my prime than dissolve and become a pathetic shell of who i was. nobody dies with dignity anymore. and who do we remember? james dean, jim morrison, buddy holly, etc.

    yeah, exactly. Give me a 30-35 year old death give or take a few years. my parents are in their mid-fifties and starting to look and feel old. i don't even want to feel old :) i realize if you take care of your body you can prolong aging but no matter what it's a losing battle.

    Want to know something really sad and weird? My 2nd fear came true. My son became suicidal and had to go to a psychiatric hospital for 2 weeks. He's much better now.

    But I just found this post and re-read it and thought....hey, I lived through it, and we all came out okay. But I'm still covering up my feet.

    don't get me wrong. I don't like them....especially spiders. I'm a big fan of "catch & release". Spiders eat other bugs so I'm ok with them. I just don't want them crawling on me. I will scream like a 10yr old girl.

    ...and the funny thing is that is only a recent fear. I used to be able to do it with no problem and i actually liked it. But now I go to great lengths to avoid it.

    so yesterday....

    im gonna go fishing with a friend....he has a paddleboat(2 man) sitting by the lake....we walk up to the paddle boat and flip the thing over(had been sitting their a week i was told).....

    their are 25-50 fucking spiders in the thing.....i fucking instantly freak....

    my buddy says no big deal.....we can flip them out as we are paddling....

    the look i gave him had to be priceless.....hehehehehehe

    i did not get within 10 feet of that paddle boat till EVERY FUCKING ONE of those fuckers was DEAD!!!!!!
