i moved with a friend to CA from WI... all we had was her car.. what would fit in it... no jobs or apts lined up..... one of the best things ive done. i think im a life long drifter in the sense that i cannot imagine living in one place for too long. CA was the longest so far at two years! when i am finished where i am, it will have been a year... and i am so excited to know that in a few months i will be living somewhere new (and I have no idea where yet) :)

if i didnt have student loan debt.. id just travel the world and work as i go.

you're my kinda person for sure :)

i love travelling not to get to a certain destination but the whole idea of just being on the move and getting new experiences along the way.
Me too... although I've never done it :(

I was wondering what people's opinion were to be on getting up and taking off across country to somewhere?

    i think it'd be awesome.. :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

i don't know if i have either....not to extent that i'm thinking of.

i did travel once with my mother to god knows where far deep in Russian village.....but journey in the car took only one day....but it was one hell of little journey, lot's of little "wild" ( by that i mean no concrete and lots of really old buildings ) villages, woods.

and once i went on a three day trip with my "friend" in her car first to rollercoasts and then to Manchester

but nah, they don't come close to proper trips

I'm sooooooooo jealous... I'd love to do stuff like that. I just need a push to do it.

*pushes you* no more excuses :)
i dont understand when people say they are jealous because anybody can do what i do....

mind you, its not always easy.. i dont make much money along the way so i live a pretty ghetto lifestyle... ive been living out of two suitcases pretty much for the last four years or so... because i dont want to waste money on things i cant take with me... in CA.. all the furniture was from the alleys haha.... my room consisted of a mattress and a table i got from the dumpster... but i got to live four blocks to the ocean and an awesome neighborhood so it was very worth it (for me)... i realize not everyone is so ghetto... oh and i dont drive which saves me a ton of money and i dont have to worry about a car.

and when i travel.. i travel as cheap as possible.... for example....i use busses instead of rail in europe... stay at cheap hostels even if their rating sucks isnt the best... etc

its all about priorites and being thrifty.... my priority is seeing the world... so im gonna do what it takes to do that!

There are very few people in this world who view anything outside the norm and outside their way of life as a good idea. You can either accept their views that their way is best... or you can go find your own way :)

No, I'm jealous that you have the get up and go to DO it. My life's pretty good but there's always something more that I want. I'm kinda afraid to go for it in case it's not all it was in my head... and also cos then it will be done! And what then?

I don't wanna be one of those people always searching... I wanna find what I'm looking for and enjoy it :)

Wow, you're like an American gypsy or professional hobo. You might be the true definition of a "free spirit" person.
