dude why are you picking on philly fans? you act like we are the only people on here who gloat when their team wins. please search back last year to all the Patriots fans and how obnoxious they were until the Super Bowl. I just think you sound like one of these people who buys into the Philly fans sucks mantra and like to kick dirt on us even when we win. If these threads and/or quotes about shit bother you then don't read them please. I've seen a heck of a lot more threads and comments on here that had nothing to do with gloating or rubbing it in people's faces but you seem to be harping on a few. Bring up Santa Claus and us booing McNabb next please and you will have fully initiated yourself in the Philly fan haters club. thank you.
have i in the history of my posting or in my life ever referenced you booing santa claus or mcnabb? NO...I haven't even said anything about Michael Irvin, and I'm a cowboys fan. Though I'm not sure about Santa Claus, McNabb was understandable...even at Suck U he would run out of gas in games and was always above average but never great. You hate the cowboys...poor sports as fans, but again understandable.

I hate the Pats...I got mad at them for running up the score, but suggested that someone cheap shot Brady and that all would be fixed...well it happened. And yes you guys won the World Series, and yes you should gloat, it's deserved. What I don't get is the curious reason the Mets have been such a big part of the gloating. All you did was beat them for the division...they weren't even in the playoffs. I just find it weird that a team that hasn't necessarily caused you any pain in the last 5 years weighs so heavily on your conscious right now. It'd be like if the Brewers won the World Series, and the Ricky Weeks said "and screw the Cubs" or something to that effect at the celebration. Really? Does that make any sense?

Because the Mets and their fans talk more shit then anyone and haven't even won a damn division !!

I work with Mets fans you would think they win the WS every year the way they talk...its a big rivalry that's why we keep rubbing their noses in it

Their players do dances after hitting HR's in July like they just won the fuckin WS !!! It's disgusting..thats why we HATE METS FANS AND THEIR SHIT TEAM !

It's this simple: If the Mets won, we would've heard it from their fans as well. And I don't wanna hear any bull shit otherwise. A little rubbing is well worth it, but I'm over it. Trust me, the last thing on my mind while at the parade was the Mets or their fans. I'll be more interested in the Mutts next year when I come up to Citi Field with a BIG World Series Champions banner. ;)

Rollins was just proving a point that it takes a TEAM to win a championship when he brought up the Mets, Santana and not spending $120 million on one guy who pitches every 5 days.

Oh, and to the guy who needs to break this down to almost the substance of racism with the "Jimmy Rollins is a thug" comment because of tilting his hat and not bending his brim, are you kidding me? If you really wanna get into that kind of talk I'm all about it and will go all day. We can go into what kind of team you got up there in Queens that represents a lot of leopard printed car seats and Jesus air fresheners hanging on the rearview mirrors of Honda Civics sporting fake rims. Is that the fair judgment? I mean since Jimmy Rollins is a thug and all....;)

Biiiig banner coming next season, get ready to see A LOT of 'em.

i am not even a mets fan...not even close, but what the heck is the deal with you guys hating the mets so much that they become part of your celebration speeches. it's not like in '04 when the Sox had to overcome the yankees run of dominance, and all the media was about how to get past the yankees, etc...this is the frigging mets we are talking about, what kind of misery have their fans/players put you through? Is it Jose Reyes's finger pointing and handshakes or something? If so that's absurd and goes to illustrate how stupid a team and fanbase is when they are the best and still have to resort to picking on others that haven't really caused them problems in the past. Why not just be the best? Again, I'm not a philly fan, and they do have their own weird identity, but I just don't get this.

Aren't you the Brewers fan that disappeared like your team ?

Congrats Philly fans. Your team won a World Series no one watched, one in which the rain was the main storyline, and one that will be forgotten by the next Series.

And that means what ??? It means WE ARE THE FUCKIN CHAMPIONS!

Last time I checked when you win a Championship its about the games won not how many watched it

Wont be forgotten in Philly that's all that matters

HAHAHAHA !!!! I'm sure Reyes has his all tricked out

For real...wants to start saying a guy is a thug who has never had an off field issue

It that's your definition of a thug I'll take it on my team any day

Tell Reyes and the boys its not how good you look dancing like and idiot after a HR its about wins in the playoffs

Yeah I was kinda finishing my dissertation during the last two weeks. I admitted I disappeared in your team or championship thread when I congratulated you guys on winning. Going to admit your team sucked it up on a message board forum becomes a lot less important when your occupational future depends on you not doing that.

Also Jearlpam0925...your point about the borderline racism in calling J-Roll a thug for wearing his cap flat is well made. It is as dumb for getting pissed at Mets players for pointing to the sky after hitting a HR or doing fancy handshakes b/c that's "not what you're supposed to do". Who made the rules for what you're supposed to do, or how your supposed to wear your hat?

I may be in the minority, but I never understood the recent obsession with calling out the Mets by the Phillies.

I mean the Phillies have had a better record than the Mets 7 of the last 8 seasons. It seems like a pretty one sided rivalry if you ask me.

First of all congrats to the Phillies and their fans for winning.

However, I think that the Phillies and their fans are pathetic because they can't seem to just be happy with winning. They care more about rubbing it in the Mets (and fans) faces than just celebrating that they won.

I don't feel the need to rub it in.

I love the hate... keep it coming. It's simple everyone hates us because there not us.

Philadelphia is hands down the greatest sports city in the World!

There will never be a parade like the one friday afternoon. Well that's until the Phightin's repeat or someday the Birds win the Superbowl.

Well then we aren't hating on you...just the weird one's that feel like they need to talk smack to the mets for no real reason.
