You don't see 42 threads about people hating the Eagles. Because they don't warrant the attention.

    Since 1996:

    Dallas Cowboys 102-100
    3 Division Titles
    1-6 in playoffs
    0 Super Bowl appearances

    Philadelphia Eagles 112-88-2
    5 Division Titles
    8-7 in the playoffs
    1 Conference Championship
    1 Super Bowl appearance
    0 Super Bowl wins :(

You're right...Dallas deserves all the attention..not saying we deserve all or any of the attention but come on..be serious..since the last Super Bowl win your team is nothing but an average team

Imagine how sick of it I am...I live less than an hour away from Big D. Even worse is that the news gets off topic and starts talking about stupid Jessica Simpson or whoever else is around Romo right now...I don't pay attention to it.
I also live in Fort Worth. The sports coverage given to the Cowboys is so insane that they are the #1 story every day of the week even when they are not playing. When Michael Phelps won his 8th Olympic gold medal, the newspaper ran it on p. 2 of the sports section with a story about the Cowboys on p. 1!

During the World Series there was practically NOTHING about baseball in the newspaper or on TV. All the sports news was still about the Cowboys. The night the Phillies won the Series the top sports story was still the Cowboys! I wanted to throw something at the TV.

When they have the Super Bowl in Jerry Jones's new stadium I hope I am as far away as possible.

Can't argue with you there about the last few years, but to go with the Yankees comparison, when was their last title? And yet they are still the lead story in baseball no matter what they do.

Point is, they are simply the most popular team in the league. They even inspire threads about how much people hate them.

My crack at the Eagles was just a joke.

  • I love that the high expectations in Dallas are not being met for yet another year. They'll be lucky to make the playoffs.

They're not my team. I'm a Steelers fan. I'll take my team over those jokers any day of the week. They're playing this season. Should be interesting. I watched the Cowboys beat the snot out of Pittsburgh at Three Rivers 12 years ago. Kordell's first start. Hopefully the Steelers return the favor this season.
