Soccer is tougher than basketball, in my opinion. It's funny how it's always the Americans who say soccer is a sissy sport, maybe American soccer players are just sissies.
I played a lot of sports and some of the toughest were the ones a lot of people call sissy sports.

it's just opinions folks not gospel ,but soccer i've watched alot of european and spanish soccer and those guys fake it big time even when they just get tapped they fall and roll around like they got stepped on by king kong ,yeah they run all day but i was thinking more along the lines of taking hits not stamina and cricket is not tougher than baseball as far as a contact sport is concerned .....again my opinion don't get your skirts up in the air my uropean friends ..

You have be tough if you are going to choose to play a sport where you are batting around a shuttlecock with a racket made of balsa wood and dental floss.
1 Boxer. Try punching for thirty seconds and see how tired you get nevermind for twelve rounds. Add to this belts into the face and ribs as well and blood pouring out of you.
2 Jockey . Could fall off a horse and still have to ride in another three or four races for a that day while always trying to keep their weight down
3 Cylist . Tour de FRance. The sport has being tarnished with the drugs of late but cylist over 100 or so miles a day on vast slopes is one of the most induring tasks to undertake
4 Alot of the team sports would be of the small stable . I have probably have rugby next in that its a very energy sapping sport

The main point I argue is that Basketball is non contact yet this is higher than football (soccer)
Google David Busst and see his injury and a nasty leg break. its mainly the continental players that dive around like fairies trying to cheat the referree, Its just bad gamesmanship but doesnt mean that players dont get taken out properly.
I agree that baseball is sorta a wimpy sport; However when there is pain it can be deadly. Being hit by a 95mph fastball is worse than just about anything else in a major pro sport- plus it can and has killed people

same with Cricket, Shoaib Akhtar has hit over 100mph bowling speed.

I stopped watching football a while ago. It's just not as interesting as it used to be and most of my friends agree. The only football they watch is the Premier League because it's the only competition worth watching.

REAL wrestling. You will not find a sport that requires more heart, work and dedication than this sport.
I lived in college with a couple national champions and a guy who eventually won the gold at Sydney and I agree. They were totally dedicated to their sport 24/7.

I don't think anyone would doubt the danger in baseball as there is a lot of it, especially between pitcher-batter interaction.
It's just that so many players are just the biggest pussies in the world. You can thank guaranteed contracts for that. A lot of them don't play through anything anymore.
Of course this doesn't refer to all players, just many.
Baseball plays 162 games a season.
They will sometimes go over a month without a day off.
This is not even inlcuding the post season or spring training.
Not as easy as it looks.

Lets not get too carried away. They usually get a few days off a month. Sometimes they'll play a 3 week stretch without a day off. Sometimes they'll play six games and get a day off. Plus on top of that, not very many players play everyday. A lot get a day off on a regular rotation basis and get about 10+ days off over the course of the season. Not to mention in the AL a lot of players will get to DH for a day off. Yes, it's a long season and it's tiring, but that's only because it's not as greuling on the body.
The hard part about it is actually playing as well as they do consistently over such a long period of time.
It's a sport filled with very skilled, very talented, pussies.
The main point I argue is that Basketball is non contact yet this is higher than football (soccer)
Anyone who thinks basketball is a non contact sport has never played it. Watch the wrestling that goes on in the post and how people have to fight through screens. The toll it takes on your body - feet, ankles, shins, and knees is brutal. Also, take a couple of elbows to the face from a hulking 6'10" guy and tell me basketball is non-contact.

I've had 6 surgeries due to basketball, and I never finished playing through college. Have had 4 teeth knocked out, a broken wrist, broken nose, both knees drained multiple times, and various other sprains and nagging injuries. It's just shit that happens and things you play through. So I can back you up with that.
I've been injured more in basketball than any of the other two sports I played until the end of high school. Football, and Baseball. I was never hurt in football, I got lucky, just damn sore sometimes. And baseball, well, nothing really happened unless there was a collision or hit with a ball in someway. But nothing that was an actual injury.
hockey is a very tough sport. where else can you throat slashed by a skate and still be back the next week.
or look at hurling... you've a genuine risk of having your skull split open. Ok, a good chunk of them wear helmets nowadays but not all. Oh but it's not a professional sport those maniacs don't even get paid  and for that reason it goes top of the list
Rugby is way ahead of american football... for several reasons!
The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
Chicago 07? And love

Should be included but not a perfessional sport.

Did wrestle in HS and college. Now I coach HS wrestling.
