    rivalry aside...
    can somebody get me 1 spare ticket to a boston new york game at yankee stadium... i fly back home to australia on the 4th of july! why not catch a game??? why not? coz all the fecking tickets are gone! ;)

    people it's a fucking game i mean i'm a ny fan but i would never scream or taunt a boston fan at all i never have never will, boston & ny fans are just out of control guess what fans there are way more important issues in this country at this moment than these two baseball teams get a grip ,better yet get productive contribute something else besides my team is better than yours bullshit ........yes boston fans are no better than yankee fans they are both the same assholes when it comes to rooting for their teams .....and i know i have come here spewing the ny bullshit myself but i have never taunted a fan when i meet one as a matter of fact i have very close friends up in NH that are die hards boston fan but i cheerish their friendship ...

    This a sure sign as to how low we can go. This is what happens when you have the combo of immaturity and alcohol. Also it's always best to keep one's cool when in an opposing teams home territory, be respectful.

    When I visit NYC in late August/September for a month I'll be wearing my Red Sox stuff but in no means flaunting at peeps. I like to talk and meet Yankee fans, talk about my history as a fan and share our perspective on our respective teams.

    BTW I've got to get a ticket to a game with this being the last year of the famed Yankee Stadium. No game or team is worth taking a life or injury.

    it's funny how the rivalry is just amongst the FANS. honestly, it doesn't seem like the yankees & red sox players have any hatred toward each other. when a player is on base, you always see them bull shitting and laughing with the fielder during a time out.

    i have to say that i'm not really surprised. i figured eventually with all the stupidity combined with alcohol that goes on, that at least once this would happen. The way it's hyped up on TV and so on, it's actually a tiresome rivalry.
    I'd prefer it they played 13 times a year so the teams can go to more AL cities more than once like they used to.

    This along with the Montreal Hab's fan getting kicked in the head by Bruin's fans makes me scratch my head and try to re-evaluate the importance of sports.

    At least we don't have hooligans over in the states yet (unless you count Philly ;-)
