........at the beginning of a tour, or at the end of a tour? I've seen them at both and have to say that seeing them at the end of the tour is something special. It seems as though they lose all inhibitions and they genuinely seem to have fun on stage. Saying that though, that could be exhaustion setting in
So, back to the original question, when do you prefer to see PJ?

At the end.. because last Australian tour I saw them right at the beginning and thought they seemed a bit unsure of themselves.

The 2003 Australia tour was a bit 'iffy'. Compared to what they were in 06, 03 was like watching a Pearl Jam cover band.
This is what I'm basing this thread on. I saw them at the start of the Riot Act World tour and they were good, but nothing like they were at the end of the 2006 world tour

... but in the scheme of things.. both sydney 1 and 3 were the "end of the tour". the only show on that tour that was average was sydney 2.. the rest were awesome. even still, sydney 2 had a great setlist, just a shit crowd. i'll never forget ed giving everyone the finger in the 2nd enc.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

However if they open their tour like they did in 2005 I wouldn´t mind se the start of their tour - Gorge ´05!
