I hit it about 2 or 3 times. but since I know I do this, I set my alarm earlier than I would if I could just wake up when it would first sound.

"easing" my way out of bed is the best way to start my day. if I have to jump out and start rushing to do everything my day is already ruined before even doing anything.

I do this too...I don't have to be up until 6...but I set the alarm for 5:42 so that I hit it twice and get up precisely at 6am :o:p

i don't hit snooze. i just set my alarm for about an hour before i absolutely need to get up. once my alarm goes off, i'm in the mindset that i have to get up soon. i just daydream for a bit more, usually about what i'm going to wear, and then i'm up about 30 minutes before i have to leave.

i'm glad i don't have to do this every day for work...usually 2-3 times a week. otherwise if i have to close, i am usually up by 10am. i like sleep :D
yes...i do feel like a human. i do not feel like a tree.

    I'm a disaster :o I have 4 alarms.

The first goes off at 6.25... with a 5 minute snooze... 2nd goes off at 6.30 (which I turn off)... third goes off at 6.45 which I also turn off... (still the first is on its 5 minute snooze) and the last goes off at 6.50 :o and then I get up... reluctantly... very reluctantly :o I love my bed!

    LMAO :D

I've only 1 alarm. I set mine for 6am but when the alarm goes off I reset it to 6:30 (5 minute snooze is not long enough). When it starts going off at 6:30 I'll reset it again to 7:00 but when the alarm goes off this is when I hit the snooze a few times to 7:15. Sometimes I keep hitting the snooze to 7:30 or even 8:00 which means I'm probably going to be late.

Why do we do stuff like this?

:D who fucking knows... I also forgot to mention that somewhere between 6.30 and 6.45, I switch on the telly... hoping there'll be some news item that will make me wake up. Doesn't usually happen though :D

I usually get up before the alarm even goes off.
I only have to set it on Saturday, and Sunday for work anyway.

Have you all seen the commercial with the 2 cows that get woke up by the rooster?
The one cow wants to continue sleeping, and tells the other one to 'hit the snooze'.
So the rooster goes flying out the barn door! Cracks me up!

My son is my alarm clock. I tried hitting him with a snooze, but he never loses consciousness.

I don't use an alarm clock.
I wake up naturally. Usually wake up around 4:30-4:45 and watch the clock till 5:00 (OK sometimes 5:10) and get up.

Why can't I just wake up when my alarm clock goes off?

Every night I have grandiose plans of waking up early before work and do something like eat breakfast, read the paper, or work out.

Every morning when the alarm goes off I hit the snooze button about 5 times and end up rushing to take a quick shower to barely make it to work on time.

I allow myself five extra minutes before I force myself out of bed Monday through Friday because I have to get my children ready for school.

Saturday, I give my self 15-20 minutes lee-way because it's not school but music lessons they have to get to and there's less preparation required...

Sunday, it may take me an hour or more to get out of bed because I don't HAVE to get up for anything in particular. :)

I'd like to be able to hit snooze, but seeing as my alarm clock is a tow-headed 16 month old with a killer smile, I can't. I don't hit my kids. :)

LOL - wow! That's a lot of alarms!

I do not use an alarm clock except very special occasions...like a super early morning flight...and even then I'm constantly waking up to try to beat the alarm clock. I just hate the super loud - obnoxious noise they make! Just a horrible way to wake up. I wake up somewhere between 6-7am and get to work on time 99% of the time :)

I don't do it everyone morning but usually just once.

i'll sometimes snooze for an hour
usually i can have pretty vivid dreams this way and remember them since i instantly fall back asleep after the snooze is pressed

5 or 6. I set the alarm earlier than I intend to get up just so I can enjoy the lie in. Seriously.
