How many times do you hit snooze in the morning?

Why can't I just wake up when my alarm clock goes off?
Every night I have grandiose plans of waking up early before work and do something like eat breakfast, read the paper, or work out.
Every morning when the alarm goes off I hit the snooze button about 5 times and end up rushing to take a quick shower to barely make it to work on time.

Having a newspaper route for almost 6 years messed my sleep time up. I got rid of it almost 3 yrs and I still wake up at 4am sometimes. lol
First, my TV auto-start turns on around 7:40 a.m. on some channel that's always having a Jesus infomercial. So it's like I'm waking up with Jesus. Then about 10 minutes later my alarm on my cell rings, and then 10 minutes later my clock alarm rings at 8.
So I'm hearing all these Jesus preachers talking away for about 20 minutes before I get out of bed.

I do that too... I wake up for a minute or so just to hit the snooze...and reapeat for atleast 3 more times before my dogs get sick of the noise and wake me up for their breakfast
I am always 7 minutes late, no matter where I go. I don't know why 7, but I am consistent atleast!
I'm the same way. My alarm is set for 4:45 every morning, and I usually wake up naturally about 5 - 10 minutes before it goes off, and I just go ahead and turn it off so I don't disturb my wife.
I might hit it once but get up before it goes off again. My alarm is on the other side of my room. And I put it on a station I detest, typically country. It motivates me to not go through that experience more than once...or twice...again, depending on the martinis.

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all!
I agree.
I'm a night person and I can't even stomach the thought of waking up before 8 on a regular basis ever again. I know it's gonna happen some day, but I'm not looking forward to it.
Booyah!!!
I have a different work shift for each day I work, so I get up at a different time each day but on Saturday I have to get up at 6:15 and I usually hit the snooze once.
I listen to my 06 concert bootleg (disc 2) on the train to wake me up!
Otherwise I hit the snooze at least a few times depending on how I feel when I wake up the 1st time. I usually wake up before the alarm time b/c my upstairs neighbors have such CLOMPY steps! I think they have their shoes on 24/7
I also put on a cell phone alarm when I have an appt I can't miss!

Is it hard having a different schedule every day? I find that I feel better if I wake up at the same time each day...even though I go to bed at different times every night.

I love you.
Oh, that's really good. Yeah I could see that you'd get used to it after a while.
I guess I was thinking of when I used to work retail and my schedule was never EVER the same from week to week. That was tough.
At least I know I am not alone. Unfortunately that is some of the best sleep I get. I am a night owl and despise getting up before 11am.
Finally got that "One for the Thumb"!!! Got the "Six Pack". Now we're on a "Stairway to Seven"

Even though there's a different start time each day, I have the same scheduled shifts each week, so it's a routine by this point but I would like to go back to a 'regular' 9 to 5. Or even a 10 to 6, that would be ideal.

"easing" my way out of bed is the best way to start my day. if I have to jump out and start rushing to do everything my day is already ruined before even doing anything.

i'm glad i don't have to do this every day for work...usually 2-3 times a week. otherwise if i have to close, i am usually up by 10am. i like sleep
The first goes off at 6.25... with a 5 minute snooze... 2nd goes off at 6.30 (which I turn off)... third goes off at 6.45 which I also turn off... (still the first is on its 5 minute snooze) and the last goes off at 6.50 and then I get up... reluctantly... very reluctantly I love my bed!

LMAO
I've only 1 alarm. I set mine for 6am but when the alarm goes off I reset it to 6:30 (5 minute snooze is not long enough). When it starts going off at 6:30 I'll reset it again to 7:00 but when the alarm goes off this is when I hit the snooze a few times to 7:15. Sometimes I keep hitting the snooze to 7:30 or even 8:00 which means I'm probably going to be late.
Why do we do stuff like this?

I only have to set it on Saturday, and Sunday for work anyway.
Have you all seen the commercial with the 2 cows that get woke up by the rooster?
The one cow wants to continue sleeping, and tells the other one to 'hit the snooze'.
So the rooster goes flying out the barn door! Cracks me up!
