WTF... The "Official Please Play the South" thread has over 18,544 responses to it... i have been watching it grow for a very long time...

So the south finally gets a few shows, AND YOU DONT SELL OUT THE PRE-SALE?????? WTF....

    dont get me wrong... i am coming down to Tampa to party with the southern jammers... i cant belive all the pissed off people that didnt get tix for MSG...there will be TONS of tickets available... you can get em when you want.... i just want to see the band play as much as i can... wherever i can...

    LeilaMoonTurtle...i'm pretty sure you are going to LA to see Mr. Vedder... i know i have seen your name on other threads before...

    BTW... is there a good scene at the Tampa arena? Are there bars in the area or do people tailgate in a parking lot? Is pubilc drinking cool? what are the do's and dont's? I have never been to Tampa before....

    If they can not sell out Florida, South/North Carolina how does Alabama or Texas or others expect to get a show?

    It's terrible.

    I suggest you take your chances with Ticketmaster for MSG tickets.

    Plus, it's really hot in Tampa in June.

    too late...already have tix for Tampa and planning my trip....looking forward to it.

    Well I personally am glad they did not sell out ....Better seats for me hopefully....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I can't travel very far and coming even remotely close to NC is a huge Blessing for me!!!

    My guess is that the populations of places like NY greatly exceed the populations of places like SC. Of course, we would like to see some live shows just like anyone else without having to drive for hours or book flights and hotels. PJ has fans down here, too...just not as many because there aren't as many people down here in the first place. I'd say percentage wise the fanbase is probably the same.

    None of these threads make any sense. Do you think when someone in Texas says "Play the South" they mean fucking South Carolina? That might as well be NYC where I'm at, it's still thousands of miles away. I'm pretty sure most of us want shows within at least driving distance.

    i think becuz for so long there were people asking for shows out there and now there are dates and they arent sold out. Maybe the boys shouldve booked a small club in florida instead????? but ya know what MoonTurtle? NO ONE is ever satisfied!!! either way, IM happy for all of the people that have been waiting and BELIEVING for shows near them!

    I'm going to the NYC shows instead. If I'm gonna hop a plane, it's gonna land in NYC ... not Columbia, S.C. for God's sake.

    Every show I've ever been to in Texas has been sold the fuck out. Course, it's been FIVE FUCKING YEARS. So maybe the demand has waned. I dunno.

    If he's going to have that attitude, I'd rather not have him in my city. Plus, that means that I'll probably have better seats.

    They used to play 2 shows at the Woodlands in Houston, both soldout.

    Its easy..just because Tenclub tickets (which arent open to the public) havent soldout, doesnt mean the south shows wont sellout.

    Yes i agree with how you feel. Anyone that ever begged to ask the question why the south often seems neglected and don't feel they have had their fair share of shows. I think now the answer is clear!

    The south fanclub members let their memberships go..why waste $20 a year for something thats never coming. Once general onsales go the shows will sell. they always do.
