Their corny brit-grunge schtick wore off? :)

the singer married gwen stefani. he has a solo album out now. a song from it is being played in commercials for another atrociously sappy nicholas sparks film adaptation. he's gone to shit.
    and like that... he's gone.
  • Mr Gwen Stefani's busy with a far higher standard of bush these days. :)
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.
  • ah, my 8th grade crush! i loooved 16 stone, and i even saw them in concert. i thought they were the greatest band ever.

a year later, i discovered a band called pearl jam, and promptly forgot about bush. i'd still get freaky naughty with gavin though. you know, when he gets tired of gwen (yeah right)

'the guy's' name is Gavin Rossdale. He is also Gwen's baby's daddy :D They have two boys, Kingston, who is 2, and they just had another boy in August that they unfortunately named Zuma Nesta.

I liked some of their songs-Glycerine and Machinehead were not bad songs.

I have no recollection of the rest of the band. I do think they broke up, and then Gavin was in another band briefly, and then he did release a solo album recently. I like his new single.

razorblade suitcase was best album imo

Wasn't that dude's name something like Nigel Pulsford? Not sure why the hell I remember that.

The Golden State from 2001 is a pretty good album. I love "Headful of Ghosts".

I wouldn't compare Bush to Nickleback like the earlier poster. The Nickelback lead singer totally sounds like he is sitting on a toilet and battling constipation whilst singing.

    nope.
  • I liked these guys. It will forever be the sounds of my freshman year of college. A year to never be forgotten. 16 Stone was great. Granted a lot of the stuff they put out afterwards wasn't so great. The song Warm Machine was pretty freaking awesome if you ask me.

that's him. he left the band at some point.

they were the first concert i ever saw and were actually very good live.

also, if you're into cheesy movies, there's a flick called constantine with keanu reeves. it's kind of like the matrix, only instead of 'the one' he plays some demon hunter in a religious war. gavin rossdale is a demon in that movie. you can watch keanu reeves torture gavin rossdale onscreen, in a very surreal scene featuring two of the most unlikely and mediocre superstars of our time.
    and like that... he's gone.

    hehe!!! :D yeah!!!

i like constantine pulverizing the demon's face (gavin rossdale), literally.

So did I. Glicerine was a great song....among a lot of others. I don;t know why that song stands out though.
  • Gavin Rossdale I guess has gone solo. He has a new song out that I heard for the first time today. It's pretty good.

16 Stone and Razorblade Suitcase definitely take me back to Jr. High and the first couple years of high school. Those were the days. I actually dusted off those two CD's and put them on my iPod recently and they are still pretty solid.

I mean, how can you not like "Glycerine"?

I still like this song, probably the only one of the Bush songs that get played on the radio that I don't flip the station.

I actually heard it this morning

In Canada, they were called Bush X

Yep, they were huge the spring of 95.

I remember when high school graduation came in June my three best friends and I discussed getting a tattoo to commemorate the event. Well, they wanted to get the Chinese symbol for Zen because Bush was the hot band at the time and they loved Everything Zen. I said I'm not getting a tattoo of some random Chinese symbol that means nothing to me.

So the three of them got the Zen tattoo and I backed out. I think I made the right decision. ;)
