The original is so much funnier.
Not wanting to shit on the thread, I just don't understand why you'd need to fix something that ain't broke
honestly, we speak the same language, but the humor between the US and UK is different. I could hardly sit through the British version because sometimes I had no idea what they were talking about, and the accents threw off the sarcasm for me. Maybe it's just me, but that is why I could't get into the British version0 -

admittedly I don't find Curb Your Enthusiasm remotely funny and I know that's like your sophisticated comedy. I've tried and I've tried because, coming from a nation of dry wit and sarcasm, I don't want to be left cold by the supposed pinnacle of American comedy but I really was."I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0 -

Now, if Curb Your Enthusiasm is the pinnacle of American comedy, then we're in trouble. I don't find Larry David even remotely funny and think that most everything he does is a big turd. I know that's blasphemy to all the Seinfeld and CYE fans out there, but really, I think people love those shows because everyone else loves them, not because they're all that funny.0 -

yeah like I appreciate the UK version but it's just hard for me to follow so I can't enjoy it as much as I can the US version.
I really like Curb, but it was hard to get used to from the beginning. They don't have scripts so the acting is very hard to get used to. The dry wit is there, and it SHOULD be one of America's favorite shows (because it is basically a R rated Seinfeld and Seinfeld is the biggest comedy sitcom ever) The reason why it is not a smash hit is because of the odd acting philosophy of just winging it. It's really hard to follow if you just see it once or twice.0
