    whats not good at sonic..

I had a sonic at the end of my street when I lived in New Mexico.. and then I never saw one again. Until on the way back from Bonnaroo. My husband begged us to stop and it was like a never ending wonderous lard fest.. MMMMMM....

I can't tell you anything bad on the menu.. that is, if clogging your arteries asap is good ;)

I kid.. its tasty fast food. Way better then Burger King, MD, Wendy's..

Never been to one. None in my area that I know of. Does it beat In-n-Out Burger? That's the best fast food joint I know of. Puts to shame McD's, BK, etc.
    Rock on!

They're awesome. Whenever I'm away out of the Northeast I make sure to stop at one. I love their flavored sodas, deserts and their coney island foot long dogs are great.

Plus they have breakfast all day.

I forgot to ask. Where in South Jersey is one opening?

No way, Jack-in-the-Box has the best commercials. Decide for yourself:

I personally think Sonic falls way down the list of fast food restaurants in terms of quality of food.....and that's saying something.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

Sonic's only redeeming quality is the beverage selection. Crazy good combinations on soft drinks and slushies.

The food on the commercials look fantastic, but when you actually go there, you wind up being less than impressed. That said, it's still better than most fast food places...
  • Sonic is disgusting. I use to live next to one below the mason dixon line. Bad quality stuff. Their deserts are decent though.

    Edit: but Cherry Limeades rule.
They say I'm rappin like BIG, jay, and tupac

Sonic is great... for fast food. They have a much better selection than most other places. Tater tots, corn dogs, blended root beer floats... mmmm! :D

I have lived in both sonic and non sonic areas.
In the non sonic areas, I would dream of one day visiting this bright gleaming place and delicious-looking drinks, ice creams, and even fast food.
(this surprised me as most fast food commercials make me lose my appetite).
When I arrived in a sonic area, I was thus, very excited.

but alas, it was total crap. the place was dirty, even a little scary, and the food did not look nearly as delicious as it does on TV.

How do you know the place was dirty when you can't even go inside?

We get Sonic commercials all the time in Michigan, but I've been told there isn't even a Sonic in the state.

I lived there from age 9 months to almost 8 years old. I lived in Rio Rancho NM :)

I used to go to sonic for an ice cream cone after trick or treating.. good times!

Dude there's a Jack in the Crack in Moses Lake, I was like oh thank god, but I missing the other three hardcore style. :( I could really use some In-N-Out and a cryfest over my double double and animal style fries right now.

But yes, Sonic, holy shit. I used to have it for dinner every Tuesday and Thursday when I was going to school at night in Fullerton for a semester since there's one by campus, and there's not one bad thing there that I had.

I would like to try a Sonic once. I see the damn commercials all the time yet I don't believe I'll be taking that 206.45 mile trip to Waretown, NJ to experience it.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

I think you could go inside in this one, or at least I could see inside. But the parking lot, the ordering machines and the pinic benches and stuff were dirty.

Wow, all the hype! Now I gotta go there and check it out.
    LARD USA Here I come!!!!!
When you eat the fries, do you hear yourself getting fatter? lol
The drinks do indeed look tasty on tv. Aaahhhh, A rainbow of liquid sugar.

Way south in Rio Grande. Right outside of Wildwood. There is a new giant shopping area. You know the whole bullshit Walmart layout. Its right in front.
I hate going to Walmart mostly b/c of all the low life's who hang around there but NOW....well, I can play the trailer trash roll and walk around Walmart with a Sonic drink in one hand and a fry in the other. LOL
Sorry if any of you live on a trailer. hehhehe

    There's one. LOL

Over on the Anaheim/Fullerton border on Lemon Street.

Well....I lied, that's the only one, unless you feel like driving out to palm springs, victorville, or bakersfield, anywhere like that. Why the hell do they all get one?

OK, i used to work there as a car-hop. you drive up, press the button on the speaker stand to order and the car-hop will bring your order out to you. (yes, car-hops accept tips. don't say they don't do anything. they help with your drinks, bagging your order, have to go outside and deal with all kinds of weather, etc....) you can sit there in your car and eat, or they usually have some have picnic tables outside.

their menu is huge! i don't even know where to start to tell you what to try! :o they're known for their Cherry Limeaids though, you'll have to try one of those.

i just like the classic #1 or #2 burger. #1 has mayo and #2 has mustard. oh, and their extra long cheese coneys are good, if you like that kind of thing.

and their ice cream is good too. especially the Blasts which are like DQ's blizzards.....i could go on and on....but if you have any questions, feel free to ask :)

and now i've read all the posts.....i hate Sonic's comercials and i used to work there

every Sonic is different. you've got the clean ones and the dirty ones. i'm very picky about which Sonic i go to. it's true, if the outside looks clean, neat, and tidy then more than likely the inside is good. it all depends on management. if you go to a Sonic that really follows the "made to order" rule, then it will be good. their food isn't healthy at all, but oh so tasty! :D

No joking there are 6 within a 15 mile radius of me... a town made 0f 60,000. A bit overKILL, right?
I only really like to get water there... a large one during happy hour is literally like 29 cents. Cold as ice, serrrously!

Oh yea, they took away the Frito pie, bastards... :(

I believe I saw one of the sonic guys perform improv at the UCB theater in the NYC... can anyone confirm this?
