I want a Mazda 3 hatchback Right now I have a Nissan Pathfinder which costs me a fortune in gas - but I have no car payments so I guess I have to wait......
I will finally get mine soon. The new Camaro will be in production in 2009. I am going to get the 400HP model. This year cannot go fast enough!
To pie I will reply

a mini (had one - but next time I'd get a convertible)

smart car
audi tt (but i'd never spend that much on a car!)
That is a serious machine...have you driven one yet? They sound like nothing else on the road. kinda scary to be honest.
But for a drivers car, the GT3 is a riot. so good, so on point. The GT2 as good as it is, just is not as good as the GT3..and the GT3 is lower priced.
The GT3 has a bit racier suspension but the GT2 comes with active suspension management system which gives you the best of both worlds, comfort and not so comfort for the days you want to go on a spirited drive. Plus having 100+hp and 200+tq on tap is never a bad thing.
I have always been a turbo guy, not to mention I have a few plans for upgrades and some on the way already

A neighbor of mine has my dream car. Its an 84 Cheverlet short bed, two tone (red, white, red). I've always liked 80s model Chevys, and this is the best one I've ever seen.

Yeah it does...But perhaps still not as fun to drive as the gt3. But if you need more of a daily driver then for sure the GT2 is the better choice.
Are you going with the 6spd or if offered the PDK? I hear it's got some quick shifts.

Well how many twisty roads are around where you can really enjoy the handling of that car? It's great if you live near mountains but for riding around, highway driving and maybe an occasional trip to the track, I can't see the point of getting a GT3. Beside the GT2 isn't a slouch going through the twisties and the 530hp and 505hp makes for some nice power for the highway. Plus by the time i'm done with it I should be just a touch over 700hp
I'm getting a manual, I don't care for the PDK I mean it is pretty bitchin, my friends F430 shifts wicked quick (same concept) but there is something about having a manual that makes you feel in total control of the car. They don't offer it on the GT2 anyways.

You should check out the new Ferrari 'superfast' gearbox (is what they call it)not the one in the 430 but in the new Ferrari 612 and 599 GTB...Not as smooth as the DSG from AUDI but still suppose to be well...superfast shifts.
I had an SMG 2 gearbox in my e46...was great for track work but on the normal roads..would get rough. But blipping the throttle felt great.
My heal and toe driving is decent so I of course have even more fun in a manual. as you said, it's just that little more control over the car.
