We both like to cook, so mostly we cook from scratch. When we're camping, which is often, we do all of our cooking with the camp fire. No gas stoves allowed.

  • We usually eat at the table. My wife and I always ate in front of the TV, but now with a little one we've changed our ways.

During the week it's usually a mix of everything... The main part is usually some form of chicken, beef or pork, with veggies and a side (most of the time something quick from a box).

Weekends, we do a bit more cooking from scratch.
This how my wife and I go about cooking she works first and i work second thru the week on weekends it's from scratch. Also we go out for dinner we enjoy dinner food all the way to 3 michlen stars. We eat in front of tv but are expecting our first in May and we already said it's the table with no tv. Enjoy sushi or sashimi, the most. Later yostarama
  • Tonight I work so they will have to eat leftover ziti casserole from Sunday night. It was good then so it should be even better now!

Tomorrow we eat out because I need a day off before the Big Turkey Cookoff.

I usually cook, we rarely eat takeout, but my favourite is to eat out at a good restaurant.

I'm cooking tonight. Spicy chicken fajitas with a green salad on the side. Sour cream and guacamole ago go :)

Last night I cooked turkey meatballs from scratch....tomato sauce, corn meal, curry powder, garlic and olive oil.

I was home sick yesterday, and so I attempted to make chocolate croissants with phyllo dough....I made the oven too hot, so they came out burnt, and the smoke alarm sounded. Luckily, the alarm system wasn't set so no call from the alarm patrol!

Do you cook dinner from scratch? Heat something up in the microwave? Go out to a restaurant for dinner? Eat at the table or in front of the TV? What does everybody do for dinner?

    That sounds so good!

Last night we sat at the table, it was one of my nights off, so I had the honor of cooking dinner. Chicken tenderloins in lemon-caper sauce with brown mushroom rice & pan-roasted green beans. So fricken good! I put the leftovers in an omelette this morning :)and then I washed last night's dishes...
I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.

My husband - I guess he had some kind of early mid-life crisis and decided he would learn to cook. So that's been great. He makes all kinds of risotto and this steak kind of lightly seasoned with olive oil and sea salt and the best caesar salad ever and on Saturday night he made homemade chocolate mousse. We kind of go nuts at Thanksgiving, too. It's a miracle I don't weigh 300 pounds.
