5/100??? NO WAY buddy. Crosby doesn't even make that and he's the face of the NHL. I did read he could make $26 mil in one calendar year tho.
My bad. I didn't think that sounded correct. Homersdong!!!!!Alright, alright, alright!

the trick is, it goes from $26 million in the 1st season, to $5.1 million. Legal, but they need to close that loophole.
I think Nashville will bite the bullet and still match, but they are going to lose a lot of money this season... and Shea Weber at $5.1 million a season will never see another uniform.0 -

4 1st rounders. Gulp.
Maybe they will work out a trade like with Gratton back in the day. Hope it turns out better than that deal. :roll:Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

29 of 30 NHL owners negotiate CBA's specifically to thwart the Flyers' wild plans.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

I think a trade ends up happening between the teams out of all this. And so you see, I have come to doubt

a trade is impossible at this point. It is a take it or leave it situation. The contract also cannot be renegotiated (unless the new CBA allows it).
Furthermore, he cant be traded until a year passes. With the up front money, they wont do that.
And they are saying now it is $110 million0 -
Poile agrees not to match, Weber a Flyer.
Flyers turn around and trade players back to Nshville for the First Round picks that they would lose. And so you see, I have come to doubt

Or a trade beforehand gives Flyers rights and they get back a couple of the draft picks. 13 of one, bakers dozen of the other.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

being restricted....doubt that nashville would have traded his rights for less than what they get as compensation
if he would have been unrestricted, then yes, trading for rights would have made sense.81 is now off the air0 -

Nashville is going to have a very tough time matching this.
The 4 first rounders from the Flyers would most likely be later round picks. Nshville would have gotten more "slam-dunk" type of players in a trade. Thats why I think a trade will go down.
Flyers will deal them a couple better players to get back all or some of their first rounders.
This is the best D-man in the league! The cap hit would be below $8M.And so you see, I have come to doubt
