Flyers were never in the running, unless the Flyers planned on including danny boy in the deal....only player close to nash's salary.

Good game except for the goalie but very nice glove save in the 3rd. Simmonds is just playing great.

i still think we should just play Ilya the rest of the season with some games for bob. we pay him all this money so lets see what we can do

How good has Talbot and Simmonds been this year.
The PK is atrocious. Most Pee Wee goalies would have been capable of stopping Kane's goal. Not gonna fault Bryz much on the others, maybe the first.

I agree, keep starting Bryz until he gets this funk out of his head.
And so you see, I have come to doubt

  • I loved the Simmonds talk last year when he was mentioned
as coming here absolutely love his game

Talbots out put has shocked me did not expect this many goals

Way to keep fighting through all those great saves last night. Winnepeg can suck it with their Flyers suck chants! I say they need to just keep going with Bryz and see what happens. Let him talk. I don't care what he says. I don't want to trade any of the rooks. Roll the dice with what we have and look at FA next year for D.
    Alright, alright, alright!

That's really the only option I'd say.

Gutsy performance last night to overcome a great goaltending performance. How come we can't ever get one of those?

Hilarious to see Carter reunited with Ritchie. Those two now in the LA night life....watch out. Babes, beaches and Hollywood. This could be an absolute train wreck.

I hear you but just because I am in a good mood i am going to pint out some good things about yesterday game.

    1) Ilya played well, made some very good saves. finally not the reason we lost
    2) Grossman has a very nice hard shot
    3) simmonds also played well

next up is the Flames who we have to beat tomorrow

Ilya could have had both those goals...i wouldn't call them soft, but i would call them stoppable....

IF they get hot, ,they can make some noise, but does anyone really see this team getting hot for a two month playoff run?

The first Edmonton goal, while stoppable, was just a very good shot off the boards by Hall.

The second Edmonton goal was soft. Bryz has to stop that goal. He did play a lot better last night, and made a nice save on the late penalty shot. Too bad the offense made another backup goalie look like Ken Dryden.

i agree that Ilya could have stopped the second one but the first was a nice goal but look at the saves he made in the 2nd period and also on the penalty shot.

I can't answer your second question but I will say this, I didn't expect them to make it to the finals 2 years ago while making it on the last game into the playoffs.

there is still 20 something games left in the season and who knows what happens

i thought he should have been able to get to the pipe before the shot...seems like he is thinking and then reacting vs. just going.

can't argue the last point...in the nhl, you never know what will happen in the playoffs.
