    Yeah...its not the sex part totally

    Its about the baby

    Its different if it just happens...but I guess people want to spread the word to friends that they're trying

    in all seriousness though, i HAVE read that it being 'enjoyable' does indeed help the process. bodily fluids mixing, etc...don't want to get too graphic and ruin a good thread here, my apologies.

    Yeah - totally - it's like anything else that's really important to you and that you hope will happen...you want to share it with friends, etc. It's exciting!

    Friends of ours have been saying different techniques to determine the sex of the baby ??

    I drew the line when someone said "Standing on your head" after the fact

    different times of the month.


    Y sperm swim faster but die off sooner. X sperm are a wee bit slower, but live longer. so basically, it's said if you want a boy, have sex right at the start ofovulation. if you want a girl, have it a couple days ahead of the start of ovulation. if you just want to have a baby. do what you and your wife are doing...go at it like bunnies to increase the likelihood of a pregnancy, period. obviously, none of this is 100% guaranteed....just ups the chances.

    Well at least they didn't recommend it DURING the act :eek: That would just be dangerous :p

    I've heard old wives tales about that...not sure how much truth there is to them....but just remember the sex of the baby will be determined by you - so it's all up to you now! :eek:

    We'll be watching TV and shes on the Laptop all night looking things up

    Its consuming her !

    We have twins on both sides of the family...I wonder what the likely hood of twins is for us ??

    My family is mainly boys...although my brother broke the trend and has a baby girl

    well there is a ridiculous amount of information out there! i actually know quite a lot b/c once upon a time i did think i wanted a child, so we did a lot of 'research'....and all, but then sure, we wised up. ;) haha. seriously, j/k....we realized, not for us....but totally HAPPY for those who choose to have a family!


    don't get overwhelmed with it all, just enjoy it. :D truly, you read stuff, talk to doctors, etc.....SOOO much, information overload. honestly, it's said it's a wonder anyone gets pregnant given the small window of time for it to truly happen. but hey, people have been doing so without the help of todays science since, well, the beginning of people.



    and i do hope she's already taking her pre-natal vitamins. :)

    Her and her girlfriend are always talking about it..basically trying at the sametime

    She has started on her Vitamins

    She's telling me what I can and can't do...Like the hot tub on vacation :o
