Just got a kitten...

I know this thread has been started before but I wanted one of my own. :D I had to put my baby Oria down on March 6 due to irreversible damage from a kidney infection. Decided my boy PJ needed a new sibling. Just so happens a co-worker had kittens so here she is. Was kinda lookin for a boy cat but I liked her colors and markings so I chose her. Any help w/ a name as I only had boy names picked out? Only 3 possiblities so far: Roxie-just like that name, Dahlia-after a character on the tv show "The Riches", and Frankie-think you all know where that came from... Chloe is now on the list after looking at the PJ songs list. Or is that PJ overkill? She is sitting here in my lap and I called her Chloe and she started purring...Hmmm

Anyway...any input from the AET members? :)
PJ FANS ROCK!!!

Finally got that "One for the Thumb"!!! Got the "Six Pack". Now we're on a "Stairway to Seven"

Some words when spoken...can't be taken back.

If I may ask what is the significance of Tifa? Or where did you get the name?

My kitty Rosie is about a year and a half old now. I'd love to get another kitten to give her a buddy to play with...I just don't know. My place isn't very big and Rosie can be a lot to handle at times! Hahahaha

Lilies are my favorite flower...hadn't thought of that one. Always liked the name Lucy for a cat too but that holds no significance to me. I am thinking Chloe is gonna be the one.

Yea, according to my lease I am not allowed kitties either but when I moved in (16 yrs ago) my neighbor had one so I figured WTF. And then one became two... Landlord never said a word.

I swear to God!!! I'll kill you!!!!

I may or may not have a handful of cats, and work at a shelter, therefore have 30 million cats names in my head...

When I got my kitten I was going to name her, Huntley.. but we got a boy!

Chloe is a great name and anything that references that song is onto a winner :) Pretty name for a pretty song.

I think the best names are names that mean something to you..

My cats all have people names because I don't want to have children, so I used names I would have named children, if I were to have them..

I think I like you ;) Kitties instead of children? My kinda girl! And no I am not gay either!
Like I said I just don't want PJ overkill. PJ got his name because I got him 6 months or so after I had the epiphany.(as I call it anyway) The song list is the 1st place I started for a name though... My brother suggested Evy...eh.

    How about Mookie?

I named my girl kitty that and she was the best cat anyone could have. I had to put her down on March 3rd at 7 mos old because she had untreatable Feline Peritonitis. She had a special fondness for Into The Wild. Her ears would perk up when I played it, swear t' god.

Glad you chose Tifa instead of Aerith too. She was annoying.

I know someone who has a cat named Mookie already. Not PJ related though.

7 months? I would have been devastated. Oria was 12 so she had a long happy life. Doesn't make it hurt any less though. It happened quickly and I was devastated. Still think about her everyday. Especially now that spring is here. She loved to go outside...on a leash and supervised of course. All I had to do was say the word "outside" and she would run to the front door. Gonna be rough when its time to lay in the sun. :(

I think she's gonna be Chloe. Thanks everyone for the suggestions! :)

DLT10 thinks so! But I'm not! I just love my cats. I have 4 of them, they are all adopted from shelters. I work at a shelter on the weekends to "give back".. I'm not single or old, so at least I have that going for me!!

That's awesome! I have always said when you can leave a kid w/ a litter box and a bowl of food is when I'll have one. What are your kitties names? That's also awesome that you work at a shelter... I could never do that. I would probably start hoarding kitties!

Its good actually, I haven't had the need to bring them home. I work (volunteer) at an amazing shelter that has no cages. The cats are so happy there, and they can sit in the sun, and just love life its a no kill shelter that will keep the cats for the rest of their life if they never get adopted out. They do amazing work there.

    Madeline is almost 3
    Aubrey is 2.5
    Caitlin is almost 2
and my kitten Noah is almost 6 months now.

Wow, that sounds like a great place. Props to you for giving back! They all get along? PJ has done nothing but his at her since I got home w/ her. I have never had 2 cats that got along.

They do get along for the most part. Madeline and Caitlin have some tension, but I live in a one room loft so they really have learned to share the space. Noah and Caitlin are like mother and son.. they love each other. Madeline and Aubrey get along well too. Noah can be a bit of a terror, but that comes with being a spunky kitten. Madeline has a bad attitude though.. we call her monkey.. she's a bitchy monkey..
