It was an honor to have watched him play. Brought a tear to my eye this morning when I found out he's not coming back.

Time to name a street after him in Green Bay!

saddest day in the history of sports

I'd imagine the families of the 11 murdered Israeli Olympians would argue that one.

That sucks...I luckily drove up for one game this year and it was amazing. Favre was so good for professional football.

I'm not old enough to know any other Packer team besides Favre's packers.....

The G Men knocked him out of football. ;)

His last throw was an INT that cost his team a shot at the superbowl. Not the best way to go out, but good for him. Had a great career and will be considered one of the best ever.

    I'll always remember 31-17, 4 INT's, and a Moss moon. Thanks, Brett.

One of the best and one of the last true sports idol's left. Too many sports figures now days are in it for the money and not the game. Brett played for the love of the game, and that's probably what I liked about him most. I've got the DVR set for all the local stations tributes tonight. It's been fun watching him for the past 17 seasons. You'll be misssed, see you in 2013 in Canton!!!

He already has a street named after him - Brett Favre Pass. It's a pretty dinky street though, so I think it's time to upgrade to a major street!
