in showing my love for my fellow AET compatriots, I watched some of this game last night. Goal disallowed by US would have put them up 3-1. We got hosed on our own turf. Should not have ended 2-2.

Agreed 100%. That ref was terrible. Was he Mexican?! Too many ticky tack calls besides that.

Yes yes. Real football. Our biggest rivals. Who are consistently ranked higher than us in the FIFA ratings yet we consistently beat them. Except for games in Mexico.

It helps when you can actually breathe air and asshole fans aren't throwing bags of piss, batteries and semen at you.

Pretty solid game last night not so much of the usual crybaby diving routine.

The US has a great keeper.

Liked what I saw... obviously the US side is tremendously out of shape and it showed last night.

Almost every ref in the world calls ticky tack BS against the US so I wasn't really suprised.

Soccer/Football would be a lot better with out all the pussies diving for calls. It ruins the game.

why the hell was the 3rd US goal called back, I was watching Duke/Carolina and missed the overrule?

Mexico has more skilled players than the US thus the Rankings. The US must do a better job at the back especially where they were atrocious in this one and in keeping posession. Without the great keeper they would have been screwed. Every one of the defenders should be ashamed with that effort. The Fowards and Midfield looked promising at times though.

The coverage is so much better on Univision it's not even funny.

Yeah I drove my Fiancee crazy when we were down in Mexico during the WC watching it. I can't tell you exactly why it's better it just is. Maybe they are just more excited and into it.

It's lame hearing JP Dellacamera do hockey games so clearly he brings boring to Soccer too.

You're on the edge of your seat listening to a spanish broadcast. You could go to sleep listening to english game calling.

Still we suck when it comes to World Cups  As a mexican i have to admit, i like watching the games vs the US, it's a nice rivalry, i couldn't see the game last night...i live now in Germany and nobody gives a shit about CONCACAF :D

Let's see what happens in the qualifying round...it's been almost 9 years since Mexico defeated US in the States, definitely it's the only game worth watching in the region.

saw this post yesterday... thanks for pointing out. watched it last night in HD and loved it! i am slowly getting more and more into soccer. don't think the third goal by the US should have been called back for offsides...

thats not bad... thats 9 less than an average mall shooting.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I'm a soccer fan, but I always loved this Simpson's episode. Springfield gets a soccer team:

TV Announcer: The Continental Soccer Association is coming to Springfield! It's all here--fast-kicking, low scoring, and ties? You bet!
Bart: Hey, Homer, how come you've never taken us to see a soccer game?
    Homer: I...don't know.
TV Announcer: You'll see all your favorite soccer stars. Like Ariaga! Ariaga II! Bariaga! Aruglia! And Pizzoza!
Homer: Oh, I never heard of those people.
TV Announcer: And they'll all be signing autographs!
    Homer: Woo-hoo!
TV Announcer: This match will determine once and for all which nation is the greatest on earth: Mexico or Portugal!
