  • And in typical aussie fashion, abbreviated down to " On ya!"...... we're a linguistically lazy bunch.

    On ya, mate!

There's something oddly liberating in screaming out obscenities at the top of yer lungs once in a while.

You know, I've noticed on the telly, foxtel anyway, that the voice over is trying to sound american. They do this promo for crap shows like Dog the Bounty hunter or some shit............... and call it Bad Ass saturday or Bad Ass tuesday or something. The voice over is an aussie, but he says Ass rather than arse...... shits me to no end!

Yeah, not sure what the deal is with telly lately. Seems that percentage of Aussie content deal is being very loosely applied. It's tiresome.
Much as shows that are really over the top Aussie, like Kath and Kim, make me cringe inwardly I can't help but be pleased that at least it's a change from endless CSI, Law & Order and all that other American rubbish we seem to be inundated with.
    NOPE!!!

I use to pretend I'm a tourist and speak in Chinese and not understand English to get myself out of particular situations.
