    awwwwww....look online!
my husband has gotten soooo many recipes online. :)
he also loves to just be *experimental* and thankfully, more often than not, his experiments are a success.

try realsimple.com....they have a great recipe section. williams-sonoma, etc...alll sorts of reasources! you're a comupter geek - get crackin'! :D

also, i think it's helpful...and beyond yummy...to simply discuss food. if you ever are at someone's house and they cook/grill up something delicious, ask! i don't cook, but i LOVE discussing food, recipes, ingredients....yummm.

    haha. ewwwww. :p

nothing says summer like the smell of bbq. it drives me nuts because the people that live next to my gym literally bbq every night. so while i'm trying to be excited about an aerobics class all i can think about is the smell of delicious burgers wafting in through the door in front of me....

i LOVE skewers on the BBQ. shrimp or chicken, eggplant, red peppers...whatever you've got...chop it up...stick it on a skewer...marinate...grill.......FANTASTIC!

and nothing like the beautiful simplicity of a well-grilled burger........mmmmmmmm...

add in hubby's freshly made salsa.........HEAVEN!

If you are going to grill, you need some Chaka's mmm sauce. It's so good I could drink it from the bottle.

Watch a lot of Bobby Flay too. I got his Boy Meets Grill cookbook this year and damn, there are some good recipes in it. The grilled flatbread, unreal. BBQing kicks ass.

change of plans: we're going with the simplicity of burgers ad corn on the cob tonight i think. chicken wings are still in the freezer and they take a LONG time on the BBQ. by the time i get home from work...i just don't want to wait that long to eat! :p chicken wings will have to be a weekend grilll activity, do the burgers and/or skewers during the week. hubby is leaving work early today - dentist appt poor guy - but we'll see about what we're having and eating OUTSIDE!

btw - i love the fact that i have to edit smilies whenever i quote you. :) that happens often enough, but mostly with fellow females. for some reason, it makes me happy when i know it's a male poster and i have to edit his emoticons. haha.

damn, I love grilling out. when I lived in a big apartment complex there was a beautiful pool area and several japanese-style gardens that all had grills. whenever I had time I'd go down there and grill (it was, of course, a race to beat the MBA students, who basically lived at the pool, even during finals). it was great to have friends over and just grill and go swimming or hang out in the garden. can't really grill in my current place. my friend just bought a place with a yard, I'll have to go over there.

The terms barbeque (BBQ) and grilling are not interchangeable.

Anyone can grill a piece of meat, but not just anyone can make good barbeque.

  • actually I think I would actually eat real food for dinner if I could grill out!

actually, now that I've spent time in Carolina, I've picked up on not calling grilling out "barbeque". it's like a sin down there!

haha exactly what I was just getting at. like barbeque has specific meaning in specific places down south. in carolina, it's pig roast in vinegary sauce. in texas it's steak in that more sweet sauce. georgia bbq is something totally different but I forget. It's kind of interesting.

I didn't mean that in the sense that you didn't know the difference. I meant it more as to show the explanation of why it's like a sin down here in the South. No offense was intended. :o

although if you want, I'll edit it to say (and everybody else except for cutback) :)
