I'd vote for this...Congrats on a great come back....but I think it's more of a Met collapse than anything..nonetheless, the Marlins will sweep us this weekend, and I wish you guys good luck in the playoffs..

lets give my man j-roll some love

is he the best SS in baseball right now?

is he the NL MVP right now?

    i say yes to both!

I don't think Rollins is the best SS in the league but would say top 5 or so...
as for NL MVP, I'd have to say yes, he's set the plate for the highest scoring club in the NL and is a solid defensive player.

just worry about making the playoffs and not individual awards :)

I think it's both a collapse and a comeback, The Phils are 10-3 over their last 13. How much will it suck for Phily fans if they come all this way, but fall 1 game short. I don't really have a dog in this fight, but I hope The Phils make it, their fans are some of the best in baseball.

I'd say J Roll is the MVP as of right now, but the best SS in baseball is temporarily playing 3B for the Yankees until the season ends.

That's one of the rumors. Pinella was his old manager in Seattle.

Thanks for the compliment. I agree its a bit of both. If the Mets had played .500 ball down the stretch, we would not have been where we were.

Matt Holliday is the MVP in the NL to me.

    For the Season:

    Runs-114
    Hits- 208
    HR's- 36
    RBI-132
    SB-11
    AVG- .338
    OPS- 1.009

Batting .347 with 12 HR's over the past month putting his team on his shoulder.

Jimmy Rollins and Prince are both nice picks and great ball players but i think Holliday is the MVP. Jimmy Rollins has a lot of help around him a lot of other players on that team. Even Prince has had some support. Todd Helton and Brad Hawpe have been the most Holliday has gotten and they are not the best. Helton is not the Helton of old.

That's why he lost weight in the offseason to get back to his SS weight and went from 16 to 9% body fat.

We'll see in December when he signs. But I really think he wants to return to SS. He would have gone down as the greatest SS in the history of the game if he would have stayed there and I think he still thinks about that.

And he did have 35 hrs and 121 rbis last year which aren't too far from his career averages.

i am not saying he isnt going back to SS, it sure is a possiblity, i am jusrt saying jroll is the best at the position currently and that at this time arod is a third baseman... and if philly signs him, he is playing 3B ;)
