I've done it three times and personally, have had no luck in getting employment prior to moving - which required some cash on hand. Moving to a place where you don't know anyone and have no connections, really helps you get good perspective on the country we live in and who you are as a person. It'll give you confidence and strength you might have otherwise never knew you had.

    good luck :)

  • i'm crossing my fingers that i'll be doing this in the spring. i'm heading out to seattle to check out neighborhoods and meet w/ the district manager of that area at the end of this month, and will hopefully finalize the details of my move. it's something that i've always wanted to do...and i'd really like to make the move completely by myself. it really is going to be a challenge for me, and i think that it will help me to become a stronger person! it's the opposite corner of the country...and i have no family west of texas!!
yes...i do feel like a human. i do not feel like a tree.
