Was the question someone asked me today. I'm wearing this shirtand the lady apparently thought it was a cross. Well, I hate to admit it, but I laughed in her face when she said that.

But it does kinda resemble a cross from the non-PJ eye...especially from afar...just my $0.02
I met my wife here...you can too! Don't lose hope!
  • In fact I was partly attracted to my black and red shirt because the logo looks like a cross and I like gothic/celtic crosses.

Plus doesn't Pear Jam sing that 'arms wide open' song where they guy talks about praying?

    I kid, for the haters.

I've had people mistake it for a cross.

You should see their face when I reply..."Hahaha, no it's definitely not a cross, it's a Pearl Jam shirt, and I'm an atheist."

Man, some people are so scared of atheists.

That's funny. The idea that it looked like a cross never crossed my mind.

I just never bought the shirt because I thought it looked too much like the Toyota logo. But that's just me.

Well... it is a cross... but not a "Christian" cross. I think that's the whole point. It takes a religious symbol and modifies its meaning.

I have the same logo as a tattoo and I actually love that it looks like a cross. To a casual observer... they might mistake it for a christian cross.. for a religious symbol. But it isn't ...and the whole PJ thing is pretty much as close as I get to religion... so I find it highly appropriate.

I am 99 percent certain that Eddie drew this design. I am also 99 percent certain that Christianity is the single largest source of pain, murder and suffering in all of history. The only thing that keeps me from saying 100 percent is that American Idol has a contract for 3 more seasons....so the verdict is still out....but I'm holding strong....

Considering Christianity's only been around for less than 2000 years, I think that's mathematically impossible.

    Just sayin is all.

I would blame fire, that shit's been around forever. :)

Before Christianity, the total cummulative amount of people that ever lived on the earth equaled 21.5 million people. During the Years that Christianity has been present, a total estimate of 10.3 Billion people have lived (including those still alive today) . Fire has killed a total of 121 million people, whereas Christianity has killed or tortured 975 million humans.

Thought these numbers may be less than perfect, consider my two sources:
