He said they told him to sit the F*CK down, a bit harsh towards a 9 yr old kid, doncha think?
If he really was 9. I checked football reference out and the 49ers didn't make a lot of visits to Philly in the 80s. Montana didn't make his first start in Philly until 1989. The 49ers made a visit to the Vet in 1984 but Montana was hurt and Matt Cavanaugh threw 3 tds to beat the Eagles. Montana didn't play his first game against the Eagles until 1983 and that was in San Fran.
So after checking out the poster's profile, I find the story of him being nine a little fishy or he just wore 49ers clothes to a random game in which the Eagles were playing a different team.

Jesus. You really went through all that just to discredit me? I didn't say anything about Montana playing, I just said I was a 49ers fan because of him. Not sure if all your research is to prove that Eagles fans really aren't a-holes, but the story is true. Believe what you like.
My friend was at the NFC title game that they lost to Carolina in 2003. As the Panthers were running out the clock toward the end, he saw a guy a few rows down actually whip out his cock and piss on the head of the woman in front of him because she was wearing a Panthers jacket.

WHAT??
So I guess some of the people in here think that if that was their mother they would not do anything about it?

Nah, you didn't let me finish. My point is that his "Dad" or whoever brought him is the guilty party. Moreover, if he's from Philly and he's all decked out in niners gear when the niners were good (probably the case... cuz he said Montana), he was being brought up as a fugazi.... once again, the Dad's fault. His Dad (or whoever brought him) should not have done that to him. This Philly fan was teaching him not to be a dope. If you come in wearing other team's crap, be prepared to hear about it. It's common sense.
Hahaha. If you're serious that is sad. All my Dad did was get his son tickets to see his favorite team. Are you saying he should've flown me to San Francisco, too? No wait, you're saying that if you live near Philly you have to be an Eagles fan or else you're a a dope and deserve to be shouted down. Hmmmm... not sure I understand that logic, but hey whatever floats your boat.
Geeze, none of this was supposed to incite an uprising from Eagles fans, but with all the effort being put into making me (and my Dad) look like the idiots here, I think I'd have to say case closed - Eagles fans really are the asshats that I remember them being. Thanks for the memories.

Look, I'm not doubting it didn't happen. But I'm just saying you were older than 9.
I mean Montana didn't even get the fulltime gig in San Fran till you were 9 and the Niners didn't visit Philly till 3 years later.
Yelling at a 12 year old is a little different than yelling at a 9 year old.
smacking someone in the face is not the only thing you can do about it
Yea I know but that is how you handle scumbags like that IMO.
Sorry, Thats just how I feel.
When it comes to someone harming my family, I have zero tolerance.

She shouldn't have worn Panthers gear. It's called home field advantage.
that's bullshit. it's a fucking sporting event. You can wear whatever you want in every other stadium but in Philly, you get pissed on. They might say stuff at another stadium.....but they're not going to do something like that. Eagles fans suck so bad....just like their shitty team and their quarterback who hasn't finished a season since I think 2004.

So do I. But I hope my son never sees the day when one of his parents expresses his or her zero tolerance by resorting to unnecessary violence and deals with despicable behavior in a despicable way.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

First, I was joking so settle the F down.
Second, I don't believe the story at all.
Third, you're full of sh#t if you think sh#theads at sporting events only exist in Philly.
Fourth, Philly fans are just better than all other fans. This thread is proof.

Ahhhh. Ok. You are good. Nine when I became a fan and 12 when I saw them at the vet, I'll buy that... I would argue that there is no difference between yelling at a 9 year old and a 12 year old that didn't know any better, but whatever. This wasn't a plot to deceive anyone, just a comment to say that from my experience Eagles fans deserve the reputation that they have.

i kinda agree with you but yaknow what....this world is tough and it is only getting tougher. Its mean and nasty and while i will do everything in my power to show my kids the wonderful loving side of life in this world, i also want them to be ready and able to handle that type of thing. not saying i want me kids to hit people but......
We are way off base here. This is for another thread.

Handle it by smacking the guy and going to jail... yep a nice example to set for any kid. Makes you no better than the guy who told your kid to sit down... actually it makes you worse.

Do I think anything physical should EVER happen at a sporting event? No. However, I see very little wrong with verbal swipes at visiting fans who are getting out of line. That's what home field advantage is all about. Intimidation is meant to occur. You shouldn't walk into another teams stadium decked out in the visiting teams colors, act like a d#ck, and expect to be treated great. It's common sense.
