    I picked up the 3 LP vinyl of The Last Waltz for one whole English pound at a car boot sale in the summer (about $1.50). It was still wrapped in cellophane and had hardly been played.
    Saw the film when it was first released, a friend of mine had to put a gun to my head to make me go see it with him. As a 16 year old who couldn't see past the next Black Sabbath or Zeppelin album, I would credit that film with setting me on the path to musical enlightenment!

    Well was taking an obscene amount of cocaine during the time of filming...so maybe that has something to with it.

    Speaking of which, don't just look for the lump of coke on Neil Young's nose, but also look for how crazy his jaw's moving around at the end of Helpless when he's walking off stage.

    That's what I was getting at :p

    I mean, that scene in Taxi Driver where Marty has a cameo as the cuckolded husband with murderous intentions, I don't think that's acting, I think he really was as on edge as he seems :o
